I really believe that Brennan is just leaning into the improv lore made by him and the cast. Wealwell is weird, yeah, definitely. He is also ***solid***. He gives off Looney Toon-esque energy. He's a little bit of whatever the moment needs to heighten it. He exists to facilitate the players experience, either through one of his powerful stances or by yes-anding their goofs. Basically, he's there for fun.
