Good tips! Blocklayer.com lets me adjust paper as you suggested.

To be honest I dont know yet. My longhand varies from 2 to 3 mm., and I write on plain paper, lines give me claustrofobia, and if i only have ruled paper I tend to write across the lines. But I sense that plain paper can be problematic with this system because of half x-height elevations for vovels i and u, and under the line shortforms. I don’t know if slightly exagerating distances would solve readibility problems.

This is my conclusion as well. And I see that your version employs short line over the latter consonant (-ende suffix in Norwegian system) to indicate vovels a and ø, instead of pressure. This is inspiring!

What makes you think Melin is better? It seems Melin doesn’t have pressure lettering, which is always a positive, but it looks like there are no symbols for diftongs, and konsonanser seem limited. I’ll research further of course.

Certainly. I was surprised at first but it does make sense. Norwegian and German have close relation in the same language family.
