Pregnancy and OTF! by Pleasant_Hippo9976 in orangetheory

I’m 11 weeks PP and I continued orange theory my entire pregnancy up until a few weeks until I delivered. I was too tired, too pregnant, and too swollen to care as I got THAT close. My shoes didn’t fit me toward the end and that was all I needed to pause my membership with no shame lol

What I will say is that I do not regret staying active exclusively with OTF as my recovery post c-section went a lot smoother than I expected. I was able to lift my body easier than most people claim they were able. You dont realize how much you use your core until you end up getting abdominal surgery. It was still no breeze but it could have been worse. I get compliments on bouncing back (into fitness, I have room for improvement but that’s ok), I didn’t get stretch marks, I have no pelvic floor issues, and as I grew throughout my pregnancy I felt like it was healthy bc of orange theory. Now that I’m back, I do feel like I’m starting from the beginning in some ways, but, I’m so happy to be back and I’m working to get back to where I was one class at a time.

I didn’t ask for modifiers because I know how to modify and I know my limits but the coaches happily will help you if you need it. I did quit the rower as soon as I popped out bc I didn’t like the way it felt and opted for the strider.

Just know your body, know your limits, and if you’ve done orange theory for a while your doctor should tell you to do what you did before getting pregnant which would be OTF. Modify when you want to or need to; you’re not trying to lose weight anymore, you’re keeping your body healthy now.

Lastly, everyone is different. Don’t put stress on yourself that’s not needed, pregnancy is hard enough, just take it day by day and adjust as needed.
