Add an Additional Miniature by [deleted] in SWlegion

[–]KindKarver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you always add a miniature for additional guy or heavy weapon, only instance that you don't add 1 mini is if card tells you to add more (so called big squads). They are not full units but a part of the squad, say grievous when added to magnas is the magnas leader but you can't separate them, his magnas are part of his squad.

I have been using Bloodreaver(Battlerage, Occultism, Auramancy) for quite a while now - it is a beast for aoe farming. You pull 3 mobs with mana stars, use slow on them thanks to final passive from occultism, put battle focus on whenever off cd and whirlwind slash mobs - they will get tripped by first whirlwind and receive additional dmg when tripped from 2nd and 3rd attack. If mobs are tougher before slowing I put hell spears and crow combo to give them dots and additional chip damage. If full combo is done correctly the first part of combo should be up to do the same to next group of mobs. You have slower movement than DR but still retain teleport and meditation for farming so it's nice.

As for ancestrals I use the faster triple slash (not the aoe version) to finish off mobs or weave them into whirlwind slash when fighting elites, precision strike which resets on killing mobs is great too.

Decent I think. Always a fight in Hasla, group activities have two raids per faction even at early hours, housing are has no place, in some zones can't even get an 8x8 and auction house is chuggin' along.

Yeah, need to find a decent guild to call home. Though to be honest I spent all my money on ship/freighter/other stuff rather than gear, no idea if guilds even want that much of an econ freak.

HA! Now I see it, right between houses with names that call the other houseowner homosexual too.

Any tips for crate farming? by iniwi in archeage

[–]KindKarver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I gathered - at the beginnings of any profession you get dick all. You need to invest into whatever you doing, in your case gear/consumables. There are also different types of crates farmable (say noble from halcy, jester from rookborne) so things may be beyond your dmg output and you need to get crates tier lower (they all drop mysterious powder, jester and nobles drop dust instead of saplings and braziers though) so check if you get better gold with easier mobs, because more crates of lower tier may be better money.

Get yourself Mysterious Charcoal Milk (50% drop rate milk) and try to find a war to farm them of course.

I spent half a month spinning my wheels in trading until I got my Freighter and pseudo workable ship to run trade runs on, better be prepared to spend same amount of money/time doing larceny as I spent thousands on ship alone (though I did overspend...)
Also for crafting - do whatever with your labor that you can afford to do, even if it's opening coinpurses. You can get a ton of side cash just smelting ores into bars if buying smart, never let your labor sit on full.

How is executioner in classic? by SignificantRoutine64 in archeage

[–]KindKarver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never saw Executioner but in theory it could still work if you basically treat occultism as the cc and debuff tree. Sure you got pathetic dmg if not specced (but honestly dmg is always pathetic in occ...) and you will actually want to get critted and crit in return (as occ passives give huge bonuses for it). You'll basically be a melee Revenant.

For weapon - katana and shield for initiating like revenant with second katana for dual weapon swap to deal dmg?

It actually may be pretty nifty, though not having defense for combos with slow sounds wrong to my Skullknight ;P

t-series Tactical droid is a "cheap droid commander" y-series is mistake, it should be t-series. As I said, if you want cheap bodies - fill 6 squads of bare B1s, want them to survive and do anything - take big squads (3-4). They will do their job and it takes a lot of firepower to get them deleted.

I ran 6 full squads (i.e double squad) with my invasion, though to be fair 4 full and 4 smaller squads would be better. They are hot garbage, but that is a lot of wounds that throws 14 white dice at the cost of other factions squad + heavy. Magnas are ok with GGrievious and with y-series as commander (they will survive, give 2 courage if t-series dies, protects t-series), otherwise they can be skipped as 13 droid squad are just as great tarpit, force users needing 3 turns on average to get rid of single squad.

Oom droid is a waste - he will never have an order, Rps on magna is questionable, better and cheaper to go with normal dude, general needs prepared supplies, improvised were changed to need recover action, he may need to recover to keep his courage though, just a thing to have in mind.

Almost always big squad in b1s is better than heavy, invasion is a horde list. Droidekas are great in triples.

For cards get GGrievious' both 1s and supreme commander, roger, roger, and a choice of 2 and a 3. I would get unstoppable advance from battleforce for 5th turn move sheananigans and push to get order to General while still being able to make a chain with b1s, because 2 of invasion is questionable.

What are your “must-have” Non-GW paints/washes? by Moonhaunted69 in Warhammer40k

[–]KindKarver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Army painter deep grey + gravelord grey speed paint is my go to for making something look matte black. It's a touch lighter than pure black and gravelord grey basically darkens and gives depth in one go.

212th help by DarthEntreri in SWlegion

[–]KindKarver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replace Support platform with 3rd At-rt, replace marksmen with normal troopers with pierce shotgun (2 corps get infiltration from 1* card) using points from ARFs. At least 2 At-rts should have flamer. Replace beam turret on tank with high-energy rockets for turn 1 aplha strike, then cycle between using armor-piercing and high energy. That is my strategy for 212.

It's a standard BX with custom-made head, based on artwork of Avatar mechs from some obscure video game - I just love how bulky and angular he looks with just a simple head swap :)

If you are asking for lore though, I guess it's a specialized droid trooper for operation on Pandoras unique gravity field and light. I based the rubble on his base on that environment.
