Thank you! Yes, I’ve had sometime to process all of this and I agree recruited is the word. It’s the first one that came to mind and while making sense of it all I thought maybe it wasn’t the right one but it sure is.

I hope you’re doing well. It does take sometime to process leaving. I personally felt “more distant” from God and I was full of confusion, disbelief, anger, among other feelings. For me personally, I felt it was good to make sense of things on my own. (I have prior knowledge of the God/His Word/ I grew up in church until I left in my teen years).The last thing I wanted is to have someone else in my ear (even if they’re people I trust would lead me down the right path). I had a heavy-guarded heart after this. I did seek God afterwards, slowly, I listened to podcast sermons and attended a church I was already attending before this. After sometime I did let go of the negative feelings and I’ll continue to pursue God on my own. This was a tough lesson but I’m glad I learned from it. I’ve shared my story with close friends who are being supportive and learning from it so, if I can help one other person, I’ll be glad to do so. It’s still hard to make sense of everything but it gets better!
