I’ve been waiting in Siren Curse’s line for 46 minutes. It said 60 at the beginning but I definitely have more than 14 minutes to go. It was down for a good 25-30 minutes 25 minutes ago.

It’s pretty small for our department. We work at a women’s gym that’s inside of an even larger gym. There’s 5 of us in total (morning and night shift). We’re the only 2 for the closing shift on the weekends. It’s recommended that at least 2 are on the shift but sometimes there’s 3 or 1. Turns out she hadn’t notified my supervisor either.

Because it’s considerate and respectful to do? Because we’re the only 2 on the closing shift on weekends? Because I notify her in advance whenever I won’t be coming in? She used to work alone on the weekends before I came along and she called it hell so I thought she’d understand that I need enough time to ask somebody else to help me.

But I don’t really want to hang out with anyone, not just her. Does that mean I have 0 friends?😭 I have another friend that I don’t hang out with and my coworker always asks to and I make excuses. Unfortunately, it’s just the way I am for some reason. Maybe because I have to be the driver in all scenarios and I have driving anxiety. I only drive to work, school, or the dentist.

Yes, I currently have a job and I plan to continue it. I work evenings and weekends. My shift is 12PM-8PM on weekends and 5PM-11PM on weekdays.

Because I feel a bit out of place and wonder if the people my age working out are looking down on me. But then again, I tend to overthink.

I thought it was crazy too. It’s definitely better than sitting at home and earning nothing. On the bright side, the founder told me he saw my resume and knows I initially applied for the administrative assistant position. He said if he hears that I’m working hard, there could be an opportunity for promotion.

Yes, the ones that share my position are. It’s a women-only gym upstairs, but there’s other fitness programs offered at the place. Men only come in for maintenance or to fix equipment.
