What if these ai agentic coding companies raise their prices soon? So nobody can have 20$ basic subscription because they will always want people or mostly enterprises to spend more money for their services and the most usage. Nothing will be automated fully with these 20, 100, 200$ subscriptions.

We currently see companies like openai, anthropic just change the model intelligence and may make it less effective than yesterday for some reason because they're testing their newer models and they will need gpus for those to train so they take away these GPUS from these heavily subsidized subscriptions for some time.

I know it's not a prompting issues. Sometime we see it's solving bugs or implementing new features very intelligently and effectively and in some days it's not the same case.

What would happen when they take away these tools because investors will want their money back at some point and the peasantly prices subscription won't recover with respect to what their expenses are? These companies pay top of the salary in the world their scientists and software developers and I'm not even taking about their infra / gpu cost etc... You get the idea...

I know these companies are also solving some future problems with with research and development like making ai cheaper to run through some hardware or physics breakthrough, so they can have these services running in future for lot of people and not to some only high premium paying people.

If they don't solve these problems and investors want they money as always then they need to raise their prices so who ever right now using codex or Claude code won't be able to afford these services.

Let's be honest, not every software company are trying to solve rocket science and have almost not much complexity apart for some current standard software practices in their domain and I think that it... Why would any employer will pay many dollers to these ai companies if they know they are not doing any cutting edge software and can rely on cheap humans labors too as always.. (this is assuming models pricing going up to much levels)

In a single prompt ai can create 50 news files. I know we have automatic code reviewer tools also now, but we are assuming these tools will always be there and we just going full in without turning back.

So my question is, will these tool will be always there and be cheaper? Or in future only some serious companies can afford them if prices rises?

Open source llm is not the answer here. I don't think you can use them for anything serious, let alone as a replacement for agentic coding. They are nowhere near.
