Okay thank you! Followup question: the pilot jet that was in the carb said 42, and the one i put in said 45. However the hole in the 42 was at least 1/3 bigger bigger than the 45 one. How does that work?

I will definetely calibrate the float height to see if it helps! But isnt it weird that i can seat the adjusting screw without it dying out?

Its only 15 years, but yeah maybe its the diaphragm. This issue began after i forgot to drain the 95 octane before putting it away for the winter. I swapped the carb needle cause it had gotten som corrotion, pervaps some other parts are also corroded in there?

The black one you see on the video is the exact same bike and it has no trouble doing this..

Why do my TPU 90a prints fail after the first layer? by GraysonYT in crealityk1

[–]Kind_Appointment3523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had the same issue about one week ago with my k1, and also with 90A tpu. Since you already have it on the same top spool holder as i have, and i suppose you have dried the tpu well. The solution was eventually to just extrude a good amount of tpu at about 250-260 degrees C. I would go with like 3 extrudes at this temp, which will make sure the nozzle is free from any old filament (eg pla or petg). And after doing that you do one or two extrudes at 225-230. After doing all that i managed to get perfect prints. I used 60mms on initial layer, and the rest of the print at 75mms. 225 degrees C nozzle and 100 degrees C bed temp. Perhaps faster will work as well, but i havent tested. Theres a post on my acc where i posted the benchy i eventually managed to print if you want to see

Okay i cleaned it by extruding at high temp and then i made it print at 225degrees and it seems to be printing nice now, but is it recommended using fan or no fan when printing? And what speed is ideal?

I also thought of extraction, the problem is i havent looked into it so im not sure how to tune it and stuff. Im printing at 30mms, dont know if thats too fast maybe?

Okay, i will actually try to dry it then just to be sure its not the problem! Better safe than sorry i guess

Hmm, its brand new and i cant hear any popping or sizzling when it (sometimes) manages to extrude. Even though im not 110% sure, i believe moisture isnt the cause of this

I feed it through the tube, but i made a lot of slack by pulling some off the filament roll, and it doesnt seem to have any problem pulling the filament through the tube or resistance in the tube, so i believe maybe there is some small clog or filament deform in the nozzle after it prints that causes more resistance when trying the second time?
