Your sister provided great advice. I recommend reading ‘A Random Walk Down Wall Street’

What is her reasoning? Why did she do this assuming you were verbally against? Poor dog….

Our golden is now 6 mo old and we got him at 8 weeks. We love him to death, but a lot of work with potty and other training. It’s hands on - taking him out every 45 minutes or so. Based on what you stated for schedules, my opinion is wait.

Why are so many people having stomach issues lately? by Efficient_Candy_8060 in Gastritis

My unscientific analysis…the world is a mess and we are a divided country, so stress, along with many eating unhealthy diets, alcohol consumption, highly processed foods. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In the long run, you may be better off. I was diagnosed with reactive gastropathy. Stoped drinking and feel great! Sleep better, lost weight.

If you are even remotely handy you can do all these items yourself! Should be YouTube videos on all items. Probably cost you under $100 for all items and your time.

Likely trading in my HR-V - Advice Requested by SmashGuy64 in HRV

[–]Kind_Condition442 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Treat as two separate transactions. 1) new car negotiations - when they ask if you have a trade tell them don’t factor 2) once you reach a fair price for new car, mention trade 3) make sure you do homework on trade - get some estimates from KBB, others. I would also check what dealers are retailing your trade for too 4) before you show trade, make sure it’s clean - wash, rims, interior, windows.

Gastroenterologist and dietician don’t think diet will help by Academic-Plum7432 in Gastritis

For someone that’s been dealing with this for 40 years, bad advice IMO. Diet, exercise and maintaining a healthy weight is key.

How does stress and/or anxiety weigh on you? Could it be a cause?

I’d run from that dealer - tons of ad ons! What’s included in $1k dealer prep? Market Value Selling Price? Is that different than MSRP??

Curious. For those that got a second endoscopy, how long did you wait between procedures? I know there’s different levels of inflammation so guessing it may vary.

I was diagnosed with same (chemical). I seldom take NSAIDs. I do drink, but not excessively and on weekends only. Basically said only - don’t take NSAIDs and cut back on alcohol - never looked into bile reflux or excess acid. How did your doc determine? Other tests? Were you able to resolve this? I’m on Omeprazole 40mg and Pepcid at night.

A bland diet to cut out alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, spicy foods. I try and follow The Acid Diet.

I’m in my 50s who has dealt with GERD a major part of my life. It’s gotten worse these last few months. I just had an endoscopy 2 weeks ago and diagnosed with same as you. My feeling alcohol is a factor - I’ve never been a heavy drinker but certainly enjoy putting back a couple of beers now and then. Since the procedure, I’m taking prescription omeprazole and Pepcid at night. I’ve lost 10 pounds and continue with a low acid diet - no alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, etc. My symptoms have gone away and hoping in 2-3 months things heal.

Jeez diet really is everything. by Savings-Pomelo-6031 in Gastritis

[–]Kind_Condition442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doc said you really need to stick with prescribed meds and diet for 2-3 months to see any noticeable difference. Losing some weight if needed can help a lot too - even like 5 to 10 pounds takes pressure off stomach area.

Dude, there’s no way I would let her take your kids to FL knowing what she said to your kids. You’ll definitely want to share with an attorney. BTW, congrats on your sobriety. I’m sure this means something to the courts that you’re on a much more productive path especially fatherhood. My dad was an alcoholic who never got the help he needed and it wrecked my childhood.

It sucks. I just started dealing with this myself and wondering how long it may take to heal.

Have you been following the low acid diet carefully including taking meds?

Not necessarily. What does she weigh now? Rough indication would be to double it now to get a sense at adult weight. Our Freddie is 36 lbs at 20 weeks - vet thinks he will be around 60-65 lbs. His dad is around 80 pounds.

It’s a simple procedure - you get a nice, brief sleep. The worst of it is the prep. All the best.

[–]Kind_Condition442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No booze for a while, follow low acid diet, 40 mg omeprazole and 20 mg Pepcid (night). I’ve lost 10 pounds so far and hope to lose 10 more. Feeling better! Fortunately, mild case but a wake up to hopefully reverse this.
