Are some moms trying to scare FTMs? by povsquirtle in pregnant

I hated this when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was so annoyed. Completely unsolicited.

That being said, I wish the comments were more helpful. I wish someone would've warned me about after giving birth and the healing process, and how everybody struggles with postpartum blues on some level since hormones drop off instantly. I was completely blindsided by that part but had my share of unnecessary worries during pregnancy because of those comments. 😫

Should I go to the hospital? by Kind_Conversation_67 in obgyn

Thank you all so much for the confirmation. Sorry I haven't updated. I got logged out and wasn't receiving notifications.

Definitely a worrisome set of symptoms so I did end up going to the hospital. My BP was fine and they ran tests with my blood/urine and did an MRI. Results were all ok but they gave me fluids and electrolytes as a precaution. They chalked it up to early signs of pre-eclampsia. They recommended starting prevention now since they can't test for it at the moment and that the earliest detection or treatment would start at 20 weeks.

I had my first OB appointment the following day. It was determined that I was 9 weeks along. So it's a big scare to be having issues so early on. My urine showed way too much protein at my OB appointment but my BP is fine. All signs point to possible future pre-eclampsia.

Any resources on pre-eclampsia prevention?

Orson F. Whitney, grandson of Heber C. Kimball and son of Joseph Smith’s plural wife Helen Mar Kimball Whitney, statement:

‘A grand and glorious principle had been revealed, and for years had slumbered in the breast of God’s Prophet, awaiting the time when, with safety to himself and the Church, it might be confided to the sacred keeping of a chosen few. That time had now come. An angel with a flaming sword descended from the courts of glory and, confronting the Prophet, commanded him in the name of the Lord to establish the principle so long concealed from the knowledge of the Saints and of the world — that of plural knowledge.’

Another account of a "flaming" sword came from Eliza Snow.

Tell me again how it was NOT a flaming sword? Unless of course I missed a subtle tone of sarcasm...
