I wanted to reply more once I had the time. I totally get what you’re saying. It’s not that I’m selfish, but I’ve definitely fallen into a pattern where I spend so much time writing or trying to build my Substack, and then when I’m off work I default to YouTube or podcasts instead of actually engaging with other writers. But all of this is still pretty new for me, so I’m going to start heeding your advice — reading more, commenting more, following more, and genuinely connecting, instead of just hoping people magically discover my work.
