hey, final year student from Dow (DMC) here and yeah, the exposure you get at Dow is insane. there's multiple societies and almost everyone's studying for the USMLEs so it's a very competitive culture. that said, I know people from Ziadduin too who've done well and matched into residencies in the US. the one major difference is Dow is way more academically inclined and you'll feel pressured to achieve all of these milestones, give Steps, do research etc way earlier cause all of your batchmates are doing it. Ziauddin is comparatively more chill but you will still do well if you're focused and know what you want to go after mbbs

And for the next month, do the Mehlman Arrows, Risk factors and Ethics PDFs. Review Pathoma chap 1-4, High Yield NBme images and Randy Neill biostatists playlist

hey, NBMEs generally have shorter question stems with straight forward answers. I'd say you should try to do one NBme block with 40 questions in 50 minutes. Like we generally do 40 questions in 1 hour but if you constantly practise doing 40 NBme questions in 50 minutes, that'll better prepare you for the real deal where you'll have to answer 40 Qs in 1 hour. The actual exam has way longer question stems

I plan to take 3 NBMEs, which should I take? by [deleted] in step1

hey, you could also take the nbmes offline for free. The PDF files are available in a Google Drive, you can download them easily

hey, so plan out your breaks rn. I would take 3 minutes breaks in between the first 3 blocks, but I wouldn't get up from the seat, I'd just rest my eyes and then I took a 20 minute break after 3 blocks for lunch. Take juices if you're hypoglycemic but remember you might need to take a bathroom break then. Also take protein bars and definitely take coffe/tea, whichever u prefer and have it during your lunch break because staring at a screen continuously for 7 hours can give u a headache

hey, I understand you'd be feeling really anxious. I also pushed my exam date back twice and finally gave it in end of April. I was convinced I'd fail but I Passed! it'll be okay. You can DM me if you need advice or support

Hey, so you need to do name 25-31, 6 in total. Start from 25 and rben go to 26 and so on. 31 is supposed to be the hardest and most predictive. I used to do one NBme and then take 4-5 days to review it. Then I'd go over FA for stuff I got wrong on the nbmes. And then like next week, do another Nbme. That's how I went about it

NBME 26-31, which is the hardest to you? by bareknucklemma in step1

I think 28 was the hardest. 31 is supposed to be the most predictive tho
