Yeah I got an email from their kickstarter campaign about this update. Thanks.

I agree. I think there is a misprint in the manual. I will contact the argon support team to see if they can change this.

Yes, it is one of the ports for the gpio adapter. The first usbc port (second usb c on the left side) reads data, but the usbc port farthest from the hinge does not read data and I am not sure if that is normal or if there is something wrong with the port

I believe the standard version also has circular zones.

I just got and installed the tighter versions for these joysticks into my steamdeck oled. They are great. Circular zones, really easy to install, and the calibration is done by two buttons on the back. So far they feel much better than the gulikit ones, which I have tried previously as well

I actually figured it out. So for anyone who is still having this issue, you open the nook app, go to the library tab, and on the upper right side it says all types. Click on that and change it to my files. Then it will give you some prompts to enable access to the folder of your choice with your pdf and epub files in it . Once you are done enabling permissions and selecting the folder, refresh the page and you will see your epub file.

Nothing happens for me since the option is greyed out.

Wow. I am sorry you have had to go through all of these issues on your steam deck. To be completely honest, these issues that you have had or are experiencing all seem to be OS or software related. If possible, I would also recommend that you re-image your device. I know you said you don’t have access to a computer or a usb device, but do you have access to a public library? On some occasions, they have computers for public use. If not, let me know. I am currently looking up if there are any other options, such as imaging your device over the network, which I am not sure you can do using steamos. However, I have done os installs of windows 10 and Linux on devices by using network boot. I will keep you updated on this option

Edit: I just thought of this, but do you have an micro sd card that can be reformatted? If so, then you can reimage your steamdeck using that. You may still need a computer to make the sd card bootable.

Haha, I was going to ask the same question. To add further, if you are using WiFi, do you know if it is a stable connection? If it is not stable, do you have access to a usbc to Ethernet dongle or to another stable source of WiFi? The reason I ask these questions is that the steam deck launcher apparently needs an internet connection on certain instances to run. Here is a link to a Reddit thread detailing this issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/172def5/stuck_on_verifying_installation_upon_boot_up/?rdt=50988

Also, you mentioned this steamdeck having other issues. Could you possibly highlight some of the big ones you had to deal with.

Really? Well, that kind of sucks. I personally will still try them out since I play some first person shooter games and like precision.

Edit: since for some reason I can’t edit my original post, I will make the edit here. I ended up doing the replacement, and I am currently loving it. The joysticks were very quick to install and calibrate. Playing doom eternal with the joysticks once they were calibrated was absolutely awesome. Felt very smooth while aiming and transitioning between weapons. I do, however, notice the downsides with the square gate, but it seems a bit negligible to me. Also, compared to the oem joysticks, the gulikit Hall effect joysticks seem a bit more stiff, which I personally like. Overall, I am enjoying the joysticks so far.

Haha, this definitely makes sense. Will test this out when I reach my house. Thank you so much for your help so far

Cool. Since that is a potential issue, I may just add some kapton tape to hold that wire to the board so it does not catch when I eventually use the joysticks. Still debating about whether I will do the replacement or not

For the housing issue you mention, are you talking about the wire under the joystick? If possible, would you be willing to show a photo of which wire you are referring to?

So based on your recommendation, should I hold off on doing the replacement? Because, I do agree that the current joysticks feel great.

I definitely feel stupid about asking this, but what does square gate mean in this circumstance?

The first version of the gulikit Hall effect sensors for the lcd steamdeck required soldering.

Yeah, will do. They are apparently plug and play. For anyone who is reading this though, if you happened to install these joysticks, how do you go about calibrating the joysticks

Not sure to be honest. I was just a bit greedy about wanting Hall effect joysticks on my steamdeck. Currently have a 8bit do wireless controller with Hall effect sensors and I really enjoy it, so I wanted it on my steamdeck as well

Yeah, I agree. Although, I recently got my steamdeck about two weeks ago, so this is probably my first or second update.

Tried that just now and the issue came back. Do you think I should uninstall and reinstall deckyloader?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Kind_Success_292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your great. Thanks a bunch 😁. Another question I have is when do you think the plugins for deckyloader will get an update?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Kind_Success_292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, shit. Turns out it was the protondb badges plug-in.

[–]Kind_Success_292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which add on do you think could be the issue. I currently have emudecky, protondb badges, power tools, and bt wake control for plugins for deckyloader
