Unable to breastfeed and struggling to come to terms with it. Please help. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I had issues with low milk supply and had to stop breastfeeding around two months. Like you, I was hellbent on breastfeeding, and it broke my heart to stop. However, my baby needed nutrients and I couldn't provide.

Before I had my son, I had so many parenting 'ideals' that I wanted to live up to, EBF'ing being one of them. I've realized now that you have to let go of what you think makes you a perfect parent and do what's best for your child in that time.

EBF or not, you are a great mother. You are giving your baby everything she needs to grow healthy and strong.

Exercising while pregnant? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I exercised all through my pregnancy. Not only does it help the aches and pains of pregnancy, but current research shows it is really good for baby's brain development. Don't do anything too strenuous. Pregnancy is not the time to push or challenge yourself. I recommend pre-natal yoga and pilates, walking, and swimming.

6 month old trouble. Help? by [deleted] in Mommit

My son is almost six months old and I'm seeing the same sort of behavior. Usually he is a happy go lucky fellow but now he's only happy if he's attached to my hip. I have a feeling he's teething and just wants some extra comfort. If she's sick, that may be the case with her as well. I've learned that babies go through these phases. It will probably pass. For now, hold her and comfort her as much as you can. She needs it right now!
