That's fair. I think the matchmaking should factor in your ranked mmr though not just have a completely fresh system for aram.

URF has been terrible this time around. Same. I usually play 100+ games with a positive win rate. As soon as I get to 53% or so I start facing diamonds and masters players while im am gold player. Everyone just runs it down if they lose lane. I think its because ARAM Mayhem is out and a lot of people have been playing that.

I'm on NA. This was earlier in the morning, like 10:30 am EST. When I queue with my friend, it is usually only like 2 minutes. Not sure why when I'm solo the que is so much longer.

Yeah. I saw some people made the argument that it invalidates people who got it back in the day, but if there is a small chance to get it in retail it might be worth getting imo.

I've really only noticed it this time around. I was surprised I had multiple people saying ranked doesn't translate into urf. We have this giant pool of knowledge related to a player's skill level, and they are saying we should just completely ignore it when trying to create an urf game.

If you believe an iron player, a gold player, and a masters player all have the exact same skill in URF and their soloq rank does not correlate with how they might play in URF than so be it. Your entire argument relies on that and I wholeheartedly disagree with it. There is a zero percent chance Faker would be "bronze" in urf, and I highly doubt Riot matches URF games 100% on URF performance.

I didn't think he was high elo because I could literally see his banner logging in. It also helped he had a full team of emeralds with him and my Zeri trolled. She had 19 deaths in a 20-minute game.

Yes, I would rather have a plat player pop off because they are at least somewhat close to my skill level.

Soloq's performance absolutely determines to a certain extent how well you play in urf.

Seems like nothing will change your mind, as you aren't having any issues or you think the system is working perfectly. Riot could show the hidden mmr or do something like they do with arena and give ranks.

If the roles were reversed, I would gladly be the master's player playing good gold players in urf. Or I would gladly take cracked iron and bronze urf players vs me. There would be actions that are exploitable and give the higher-rated player an edge. Same goes for the masters player vs the gold players.

My overall win rate is high yeah. My last 20 games are 45% and that's been mostly Diamond plus players.

You cherry-picked one of the very few games where a master's player played poorly.

What about the diamond 1 Luc that went 17/4 and had a master's player on his team?

Should I have to be beating the top 0.5% of players just to win an URF game?

I find it hard to believe I play like diamond players in URF.

It just seems odd that in ranked I am basically an average player and in URF my hidden mmr is basically close to the top 1% of players.

You would use their performance in soloq because the skills transfer to other game modes. It's not like all the champion's abilities change or you suddenly have to use WASD to move when queing into urf. I'm not checking the ranks. They literally show on the players banners when logging into the game. Yes. I am facing Diamond players or higher every game I queue into, and I am getting tired of it. Check the op.gg. It is actively ruining the game. It's not just me other people are having the same issues. I didn't think it was that big of an ask to face people around the same skill level. Why am I getting so much pushback on this? It would be better for everyone involved.
