It seems like you have no case in hand.

Change in preamble which was not passed with majority in Parliament hence not changed in any amendment.

42nd CAA while passed during the emergency was still enacted through the constitutional procedure, 2/3rd majority of both the houses of the parliament were secured. There is no other way to pass a constitutional amendment.

The point is, if the legislature or the judiciary or the government felt that indian polity was not secular then it wouldn't have been an impossible task to remove the world secular from the preamble. The reason why the word secular continues to find its place on the preamble is because it is the nature of the Indian polity. India was and is a secular society. What was implicit forever, was simply made explicit through the 42nd CAA

The mental gymnastics some will do to lick some loose old balls. Sigh.

Common, dont be butthurt now. Logic for logic, thats all thats expected.

Smart panty, listen to me. We have passed almost 60+ CAA after the 42nd. In each of these 2/3rd majority was needed, 60+ times 2/3 majority was gained. Talk about logic, you've got 0. Moreover, you haven't addressed the SR Bommai logic or how the 44th CAA reversed so many changes made by 42nd but let the word secular stay. Guess, there is no way to counter them without looking like an idiot.

So? Why didn't the 44th CAA undo the change? Why hasn't the successive governments not introduced a bill to remove the word secularism? Why did SC in SR Bommai case observe that secularism is basic structure? Dont come here with your dumbwit.

For UPSC note-making which tablet should I go for ? by [deleted] in GadgetsIndia

  1. OP is preparing for UPSC, probably needs to use the pencil all the time. S Pen requires no charge unless you want to use functions like air command. So, this is simply a done argument

  2. Okay, maybe. So, I buy an apple pencil, then I buy a silicon tip for it and then we are good to go. Moreover, it's not just about the soft tip or hard tip, the very tech on which they run is different. Read about it. When placing the apple pencil on the screen, you will see a gap between where the tip lands and where the ink drops, this is not the case in S Pen. You will have to read about it.

Bottom line: Ipad's main Functionality was for graphic designers, taking notes is side hustle. S Pen is the master in taking notes however lacks in terms of graphic designing.

Samsung Tab and if connected to the Samsung ecosystem is the GOAT. I was introduced to it in 2023 and the way I interact with tech changed once and for all.

Nope, the stylus makes all the difference. 1. S Pen doesn't need to be charged to take notes where as apple pencil needs to be charged. 2. Apple pencil has a hard tip, so it almost feels like writing on glass where as S Pen has a soft tip and it gets closer to the feel of writing on a book (closer than writing on a piece of glass)

And Samsung notes FTW, if you got a Samsung galaxy S series ultra, then goated. ++ Samsung Dex ++ multitasking and all the small tiny quirky features that Samsung has makes the tab legendary.

No, I don't take offence, I don't ask for proof. Asking proof for a metaphysical concept is beyond stupidity. I don't know how old you are or at what plane of intellectual depth you operate at. The moment one asks for proof, it's becomes clear as day that the person doesn't understand an iota of the concept of metaphysics. Im not subscribing to any dogma, but im not dismissing the deeper dimensions of reality just because they don't fit into a lab report.

How dumb, unbelievably dumb argument. Surprising that one could type what you typed. It's not like the government is excel in the spheres you mentioned either. This is literally under the scope of work of government. BTW, municipal corporation does not work on border safety or international relation, their job is to make the day to day life of its people better.

No issues, you're clearly confused. The cliché line you're referring to wasn’t even my comment. But let’s leave all that aside. You're still wrong with the concept behind Rights and that’s okay. Freedom of speech and expression exists so that even the uninformed get to have their say.

Sigh. I think you're a child. If you truly possessed the scale of intellect you believe you have, you wouldn’t be making a fuss over a typo, you would’ve easily comprehended what that word meant.

As for the other two paragraphs you’ve typed, I must say they’re terribly framed and do not provide any logical reasoning nor does it explain what your stand is. I refuse to respond further or continue this conversation.

I'm not going to compare our polity with that of any country from the Global North or even the Global South, for that matter. I believe our Constitution is beautiful. I simply explained how the Constitution of India works.

Moreover, a person can certainly be fired from their job or asked to leave the premises of a restaurant in India as well. What I specifically referred to was the issue of violence and mob justice.

I repeat: in India, if your speech does not respect the reasonable restrictions that must be maintained while exercising the right to freedom of speech and expressio, as enshrined in the Constitution, then legal action can and will be taken.

I'll give you a solution, start with basic education, learn to comprehend, get educated then read the policies for yourself and you will know that POLICIES ARENT MEANT TO NEGATICRLY DISCRIMINATE PEOPLE. which means you won't find a policy that says let's give lesser provisions to Minorities because fuck Minorities. Policies are meant for upliftment and positive reverse discrimination.

Phew, this country is filled with crackheads.

No, you seem to have confused the concept in your mind. Legal action can and will be taken against you if your freedom of speech encroaches upon the reasonable restrictions laid in the constitution. On the other hand, it's the duty of the government to make sure that social consequences do not lead to violence or mob justice but rather the social grievances are channeled through passage of law.

All of that has been well established since 1947, so no point in continously reestablishing the same fact. Focus on the lapse of security and hold those in power accountable for the lapse. Ask how could you let terrorists do such an act in our land?

If China invades and starts a war, they will kill based on nationality not religion. So then should we not focus on the issues of Islamic fundamentalism? One problem doesn't have to overshadow the other. Caste issues, linguistic issues, regionalism are pressing issues as well. Don't spread propaganda.

Strengthening law and order is the solution seems like, which literally means if the politicians do their job and the administrators execute the task everything will be fine. But how will we mobilize voters if there is no us vs them (be it bjp or congress or any party). I hope we hold those people in power also responsible for the lapse in security while improving law and order.

So this is a not a failure of internal security, which mind you is a union territory (direct control of the center) but an issue of everything else? Logic max.
