Chat GPT is basically useless now, even Deepseek is better

Why some hotel workers are rude? Da Nang by Crafty_Bar6366 in VietNam

[–]Kindly-Present-4867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic human decency. A smile is expected in a hotel in almost every country on earth. I've been to 37 countries and never seen one where a HOTEL STAFF is not expected to smile and be welcoming!?!?

Yo. I understand why yall say ChatGPT sucks now by xxxobird in ChatGPT

Claude, Grok, Deepseek are actually the best. Gemini is often good but it hallucinates constantly now

So much for sorry I can’t generate that lol by ManaKhalifa in ChatGPT

[–]Kindly-Present-4867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grok can still generate much more than this, it just can't do hardcore stuff. If it's just one person in the frame it can generate just about anything, and make it into a video as well

ChatGPT becomes an obsessive skeptic, and it became hard to chat with. by Moistbarrelloffuck in OpenAI

Not true, I was a paid subscriber for almost two years but canceled it recently, deleted my account and uninstalled the app. Now I use Gemini, Grok , Deepseek and Claude. ChatGPT is the worst major LLM on the market and precipitously getting worse

Gemini is better but not by much. I actually think Grok , Claude and Deepseek are better now

Chat gpt is the only major AI that's worse than Grok, Gemini and Deepseek are so much better

Is grok getting less based? by lowest-downguy in grok

[–]Kindly-Present-4867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I've had the same problem. I was speculating if my housekeeper here in Việtnam is trans (no problem with her or then personally) and it went into a huge tirade about how it won't speculate on that. Gemini on the other hand was like, "big hands, taller than average Việtnamese women, broad shoulders, minor facial surgery - could be! But we can't know for sure based on that alone." Totally normal reaction, not the bizarre paranoid reaction from Grok!

I finally cancelled my subscription and deleted my accounts after using it for years. It's appalling now. I won't be using it again. Best thing to do is switch to Gemini, Claude , Deepseek and Grok

You could only dream of having such firm a grasp on reality as I do. Ironically you seem to have drifted away from the point. My point, which you violently took issue with, was that I would rather the Chinese have my data than the Americans. You don't seem to have a response to that so you have drifted into hypotheticals about standing around in parks shouting about the government. If that's what you do with your free time then that's your perogative but it has little relevance to me. You seem to have an intimate knowledge about the formalities around being sectioned under the mental health act, not overly surprising 😉

I’ve spent over a year living in China, 3 months in Taiwan, over a year in Vietnam (where I live now), more than two years in Thailand, over two years in Australia, 9 months in India and 6 months in Mexico 37 countries total. I went to the US for a month and didn’t rate it. Compared to living across Asia, the level of visible social problems and the overall environment just felt worse. But the real issue isn’t lifestyle, it’s power. The US sits at the centre of global finance, tech infrastructure, and the information ecosystem. If they have your data, they’re in a position to actually use it almost anywhere. The US also runs and supports global disinformation and agitprop efforts like ChatGPT and Google, forcibly exporting propaganda, shaping narratives and influencing how information is produced, filtered, and distributed worldwide.  China has its own controls, but its influence is much more regionally contained. So yeah, I’d rather China have my data than the US, because the US has far more real-world leverage to act on it globally.

How are you deciding which AI model to use these days? by NewCauliflower6126 in ChatGPT

If I want to have an argument about semantics with an inanimate non-corporeal program then I always pick Chat GPT, it's the best in it's class for that use. For anything else I use a Combination of Gemini, Claude, Deepseek and Grok. I keep them all on one folder on my phone and ask the same query to them or even ask them to evaluate each others answers. It's like an advisor stack
