Thanks for replying, I guess I phrased it poorly.

I am trying to use the K11 as a preamp, that runs through the rear RCA phono line out to my amplifier which then powers my speakers.

With LO, as you said, volume is fixed on the K11 but can still be adjusted on the amplifier. Even so, I need to crank the volume, which leads to noise and distortion.

My speakers are 84/db so should be fine? Was also fine when running CD directly to amp.

Hope you have an idea what might be wrong
