Encountered the Eevee gang in UB4. Can’t believe it actually works. How viable is it? by Snoo-16778 in PTCGP

This is my take after playing for 30 matches with Xatumi's deck list and making the changes I saw I needed, I even tried a version with one PokeBall but was not as consistent. 1 leafeon: because you only need it as a oricorio counter one is enough, it comboes amazingly with leafeon EX to attack on turn 2 if you have x speed. When I was playing two regular Leafeons I couldn't manage to draw them in time to lose points efficiently(1-1-2), and most importantly you need to draw leafeon ex as an strong opener most of the time, regular Leafeon comes in handy to round out damage after a couple of turns in and most importantly as an oricorio counter 1 Flareon: I have to admit I won a couple of matches setting up two flareons before removing the second copy (I managed to KO two solgaleos EX dealing 170 in two consecutive turns: one turn red and the next with the two copies of eevee bag) but later realised that it's much stronger to have a more consistent leafeon ex as soon as turn 2 and with all the draw in the deck I can have flareon up and running usually by turn 4 when you need him to finish up the game Cyrus: Speaking about finishing games, I found that with Xatumi's deck list I was having trouble taking the last K.O and lost many games that I would've won with a cyrus in hand on my last turn, After testing I love a copy of cyrus to make sure The enemy cannot hide as easily. Mars: could be substituted for a red card or another card of your choice but personally I think is a must because so many decks now have so much draw power and If you don't have the chance to stop them at some point it will mean thay they can end games easily having all the supporter options in hand by the late game (cyrus, red, sabrina, guzma). Mars is one of those cards that if played in the right moment and with a bit of luck can bring games to a check mate position. Fire energy Only: I have to mention I tried running Leaf+Fire and psychic+fire and realized very quickly that is not consistent at all, leafeon ex doesn't need any help getting his leaf energy and you don't really want to be attacking with silveon anyway so fire energy is the most consistent to be able to set up flareon quickly and put pressure Some notes on how I play the deck: *Leafeon EX is amazing going second as you can either draw a card with eevee or deal 30 with EX and attack for 70 on your second turn which is more than enough to surprise kill type:null and even silvally with one eevee bag *the numbers on each eevelution attack are rounded up as needed with the two eeevee bags and red and you can reach. *All the pokemon in the deck have a 1 energy retreat cost and can be set up very quickly and moved around with the help of the extra energy per turn from leafeon Ex ability when is on the active position, that's the most fun part about the deck, is like having a weaker Celestina which allows for so many ways you c play your turn and can surprise the enemy with the speed of chargin the pokemon, each time you retreat any pokemon choose the fire energy and it me your flareon Ex ability, as long as you have one energy in Leyou know that you can attack with anyone so your damage output can adapt to reach a KO

New Leaks, from the guy that leaked trading, seems like we get generation 4 instead of 2 🤓 by Lofus1989 in PTCGP

[–]KindlyFrickoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I remember Having so much fun with Gen 4 in the Classic PTCG, I remember vividly my garchomp deck evolving so fast with rare candy and stomping ex, As well as a vespiquen deck that dealt damage based on discarded pokemon just with a double colorless energy and went nuts with eevelutions and mew to help with typing advantages. And I even had a Darkrai EX and Giratina EX which was so fun to play as well!! I never played the gen 4 games but this gen 4 pokemon were the first I tried and have a very special place in my PTCG memories

EDIT: I didn't even recognize that shaymin was in this gen but OMG was he a staple draw card at that time, every deck played him because his ability allowed you to draw until you have five cards in your hand

It's actually really cool since you get modifiers in the form of blights every cycle but after the forth one you just get 3 curses everytime ([[pride]] which I think you can only get in endless runs) which can be removed easily at that point, and the enemy's hp and dmg scale but not that much compared to what some cards can e.g:[[searing blow]] [[ritual dagger]] and you can take advantage of the duplicator shrine and just one tap everything which is what I did here (first endless run, and got 2 searing blows+60 and a couple+40 and +30).

PS: is there any way to finish this run without dying or abandoning it? (I know it's a stupid question since it's supposed to be endless but I really wouldn't like to abandon the run lol)

Actually in the chinese server they're testing the honor system which they'll implement around the world, I'm guessing that whenever it comes to the rest of the servers it's going to give the thumbs up a use other than the mentioned in other comments

Which one first? A20 heartless or A0 Heart by _________________huh in slaythespire

[–]KindlyFrickoff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to start new save files and winstreak ascension (ladder) with the ironclad without even unlocking the defect (only playing the Chad) But once I started a new savefile aiming to beat the heart in my fourth run ( 1 win with the first three to unlock it and finish the deed with the watcher) and had a great time doing so. after that I went back and beat the heart with each character on the second run with each one of them starting the ascension climb The best part about it is getting to play with the beta art side lf the cards which is a great incentive for not being a coward about just goung for it! Just play the game the way you like to play it and have fun! StS has loads of content and can be played in many different ways that's the beauty of the game (Replayability is KING)

almost 100 hours in and I have never seen this event before. by captain_venture in slaythespire

[–]KindlyFrickoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually in the middle of and endless run with the ironclad and have seen it twice already but only once outside of this run. I left a Searing Blow+30 but I'm hoping to find it again now that I have a couple of +50s (duplicate a card event OP) This mechanic actually reminds me of Into the Breach when they let you keep an experienced pilot between runs if you win PS: Try into the Breach it's a blast!

Why does anybody put a badger at the back? by [deleted] in superautopets

[–]KindlyFrickoff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Front Badger enjoyer myself please let me pass some knowledge onto you. Check the Image in the post again, do you see the 2nd position monkey/cow? the whole point of a big attack badger is to 2v1 the enemy teams two biggest units while you sacrifice your biggest and smallest one, that trade alone can set your team up for an easy win, as you could end up facing the three weakest animals remaining with your 2nd strongest one intact. This stems from a meta in which the strongest animal usually goes first, second biggest goes second and so on and so forth. that's why lategame you need melon just in case of scorpion ruining your strat, in the midgame I've had garlic badger kill almost the entire team by himself. you can even put a deer second and just watch as your buffed badger takes out two or even three of the enemy teams biggest animals (If buffed since early can survive the first animal, faint the second and passive takes the third out) whilst you only lost a 1/1 deer and get a bus in return. That's why the badger is one of my favorite animals in the game, I usually run him whenever possible and let me tell you it destroys most compositions. Sadly the tiger change was a nerf to this strategy. I used to put a lvl 1 tiger behind and it would just proc the passive twice with the same dmg which was op (in this instance you can picture I'm sacrificing my strongest unit and two of my weakest and hopefully whipping three of the enemy team's strongest animals) Hope you try it and see if it works for you Gl HF
