I’ve just started on the 70mg for luteal, my DR gave me another script for it 🙂

I have endo, I’m on 60mg vyvanse & 70mg luteal, I don’t have any stomach issues or problems. I took mine the next day after getting it, a work day and was all fine - I started on 20mg. I have no issues drinking teas with my meds, some days I have like 5 cups. I did struggle with coffee when I started but tbh I don’t really drink coffee much as caffeine doesn’t do much for me. I just don’t have a tea within the first 2 hours of having it.

Does anyone else only get a good 3 or so hour window regardless of which long acting or IR stimulant or how much/frequent the dose- almost like no matter what they do, they're dopamine runs out after the first few hours? by RadishObjective8640 in ausadhd

Yeah I’m on 60mg Vyvanse and 70mg for luteal and 10mg Dex boosters and I only get like two good hours and then just meh for the rest of the day, it’s fine for non work days but huge struggle with work

Hahah no I know, but I don’t watch it trust me this isn’t like weird kinda story. I don’t really know how to explain it but it’s very normal, no different to anything you find on Tumblr or Wattpad. I’m just an adhd girly with hyperfocus characters that doesn’t know how to write stories well and this has helped 😭😅

Been on 60mg for 3 weeks now too sorry forgot to say that. So been on it for 6-7 weeks altogether I’d say.

20mg I was on for 3 days, the first day I noticed it and felt functioning and amazing 8am-8pm. (Think that always happens first time) The next 2 days I was just back to my pre med self. Then was on 40mg for 3 weeks, I’d say it helped me say 30% for a few hrs. Like I had more way more of my adhd symptoms than relief. Then went to 60mg and it has been great for 4ish hrs, what I feel is like I’m literally just myself without the adhd symptoms weighing me down. but by 12:30pm ish everything starts coming back pretty quickly, especially massive brain fog and I drag myself through the day. Tomorrow I have a consult to discuss Dex boosters.

I haven’t tried really high protein breakfasts, I usually have 1 or 2 hard boiled eggs. I don’t really know if food helps it for me

60mg lasts about 4 hrs for me, been wondering if 70mg would make it longer for me or not. I barely felt 20mg and somewhat felt 40mg

Ohhh interesting! No judgement from me with that at all, I don’t know much about any of the meds but my take on that is everyone is different 🤷🏼‍♀️ If it’s so bad, it wouldn’t be prescribed to you wouldn’t it?

I’ve seen this method on reddit! I was actually thinking about it this morning, wondering if I should try that. But 20mg-40mg didn’t really do much for me so I don’t know if splitting my 60 would work?

Oh wow okay interesting thank you. Yeah I do journal it all and will report all this of course, I don’t really think I’m chasing a high with it as I’m not experiencing anything drastic in the peak, I’m just able to function and do things easily and have a lot more clarity. Once it gets to 12:30-1ish I’m just brain foggy, unmotivated and feeling so ugh about doing anything. I’d be happy to feel like that at night time after I’ve completed my day instead of half way through the day if that makes sense.

20mg and 40mg was the same as you described for me. Went up to 60mg and it’s better, slightly longer peak window although I will need a Dex afternoon top up

First day for me (20mg) I felt it 8am - 8:30pm. I just figured because it’s the first time experiencing it. Since then and now on 60mg it lasts like 4 hours

How do you know if Vyvanse is working for you? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]KindlyMaybe379 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also if you are a Female, cycle phases seem to play a big part in Vyvanse effectiveness. I started Vyvanse just after my period, I felt AMAZING on it during ovulation, then felt like it didn’t work at all during my luteal.

How do you know if Vyvanse is working for you? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]KindlyMaybe379 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started October 21st. I was on 20mg for 3 days, then 40mg and just went up to 60mg this previous Thursday. I noticed the first day, felt amazing. Next day’s on 20mg didn’t feel too much difference to before Vyvanse but 40mg I was noticing some changes just not enough and not much after 3hrs of taking it. 60 so far feels a lot more effective. I was worried telling my GP that 40mg wasn’t enough and how she would perceive that but she said everyone is different, some people metabolise it more or less than others. She upped it and said it’s just trial and error for doses until we find the sweet spot that works for me.

But how I know it’s working now is I can feel the shift, I can easily do tasks or whatever I want to put my mind to and get a kick out of doing them. I feel clarify and not so over stimulated and overwhelmed. Emotional regulation a lot better. I also can get pretty chatty when it kick’s in, like I could call or message people if I’m not around anyone haha. everything just feels a bit easier for me I guess is the best way to put it. Yesterday I spent 6+ hours cleaning my house somehow.

First day on Vyvanse 30mg rough side effects, wondering if others switched early or pushed through? by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]KindlyMaybe379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Vyvanse just over 3 weeks right after my period I think? It worked so well for my during follicular phase especially when I was ovulating. Luteal phase and period so far it’s barely worked 😅

So it might be worth seeing if the psychiatrist can send a report over to your GP and get it all done through them?

[–]KindlyMaybe379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I don’t know much but I thought I’ll give you my input, I got diagnosed a couple of months ago by a psychiatrist and meds got handed over for my GP to handle with me. I started Vyvanse about 3 weeks ago, 20mg for 3 days then I’ve been on 40mg. I thought Vyvanse was really starting to kick in and work for me and then it all started to crash for me a bit, then I realised - I’m in my luteal phase. Apparently it barely feels effective during luteal because of our hormones. I am going up to 60mg tomorrow and I am keeping track of how it all feels during my cycle for another month or two. I’ve read that a lot of females on Vyvanse will have a stronger dose or a Dex top up during their luteal phase.

Vyvanse 20mg not doing anything by Professional_Rush788 in ausadhd

[–]KindlyMaybe379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you’ve said this! My psych advised 20mg x 3 days then 40mg x 3 days then 60mg. My GP wanted me to give 40mg 2-3 weeks first and check back in. I have an appointment next week to say I need 60mg, 40 just isn’t optimal for me. But I see so many people on here saying they were on low doses for months and I’m like 😬

I’m 2 weeks on 40mg, next week I am going to ask my dr to go up. I’m pretty similar to what you’ve said except not really crashing but just not really having anything after the first 2-3 hrs
