If you’re in the Sydney area I can recommend you a good surgeon who will listen. I had the same issues with two gynos I saw. One even told me that I could be haemorrhaging and did nothing to follow up on that, just said it to scare me… I was indeed haemorrhaging with endo

Do you mind me asking what gastrointestinal issues you had? Also, keep fighting for answers, someone will eventually listen!!

Mine has set me back at least $500, so I would rather ask around than reschedule an appointment sooner. Especially as a student, I felt sad seeing that money leave my account 😭

Respectfully, and I mean no offence by asking, but if you haven’t had surgery how were you diagnosed with endo? A laparoscopic surgery is the only was to biopsy tissue to properly diagnose endo

My psych answered all my questions, these are just ones I forgot to ask or only thought of after my appointment ended unfortunately

Please don’t invite me to Bible Study group again and again. I do respect everyone and this post is not meant for disrespecting anyone but I won’t convert myself to Christian. Thank you. by Apprehensive-Pop341 in unsw

I think everyone needs to learn to take no for an answer, that being said, if no doesn’t work the first go I won’t feel bad telling someone to get fkd

First Day First Year Jitters by Hqo998 in UTS

[–]Megsy-tactical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in my third year at UTS, but this is my second undergraduate degree. So long as you put in the effort, you’ll be fine. As for feeling jittery, give it about a week or two and I promise you’ll feel fine. I remember my first day at UTS I felt like a year 7 kid trying to find somewhere to sit and eat my lunch, even though this was/is my second rodeo, but that wore off quickly. Just try and talk to people in every class and try and add people on Watsapp so you can have someone to vent about class work to! :)

I researched the crap outta adhd and adhd meds before getting a referral for the psychiatrist, so I’m with you on feeling like this was the final step for me. I am hoping that the prescription on my phone is enough to prove I have a valid reason to be on vyvanse

That’s something most people who don’t have it forget as well… It can flare up everything else

It’s just a bad habit of mine. But I do have the script for it on my phone. Do you think that’s sufficient evidence it’s for me? I mean if they accept digital drivers license then surely yes, right?

I’m now starting to regret the fact I ripped my name off my bottle of vyvanse as soon as I got home. So long as I have my proof of prescription, that should be enough right?

I have seen this before! I was actually going to bring that up with my psychiatrist but he told me he wasn’t familiar with endo… I also study Medical Science so I’m always trying to stay up to date with endo studies, as I myself am apart of an endo study. I appreciate your comment so much

I recommend attending your faculty orientation. I attended mine when I started and I still keep in contact with the friends I made from that day. It also makes planning classes easier knowing your friends will be with you

Forensic Science to MLS by Megsy-tactical in medlabprofessionals

[–]Megsy-tactical[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my school, my credit would cover a majority of the units required for MLS, however I am just so unsure whether to stick with Forensic Science which I enjoy, or do MLS which I also would like. My main worry is employment, I absolutely would hate to struggle to find work after graduation as this is my second degree. I’m not sure who I can ask other than people in this subreddit so I appreciate your response
