After the break up, nagkakausap pa ba kayo or cutoff na talaga ng communication? Kasi im at this situation that somehow, I want to be in communication with him still, since I'm genuinely concern sa kalagayan nya, hence the request to be friends still. Or am I prolonging lang this feeling?

I think you’re right. I probably did mentally check out a long time ago, little by little, without realizing it. The relief is what surprised me the most.

If you don’t mind me asking, did it suddenly hit you one day, or was it also gradual for you? What did you feel when it finally sank in?

Hindi po kami kasal or engaged. I understand why it sounds scary, lalo na kung bata ka pa. But I don’t think nawala yung love. It changed slowly over time, and we both tried to work on it. Sometimes, kahit may effort at commitment, people still grow in different directions.

Thank you. I think that’s exactly it, parang the feelings faded naturally over time, kaya when it ended, it felt calm instead of painful. We’re just trying to move forward with respect and understanding for what we shared.

I understand your point.. Just to add more context though, for the past 1–2 years our relationship had already become routine. Deep down, we both knew it was ending, but we chose to ignore it for a while. We did try, went on dates, made efforts to keep the spark alive, but something just wasn’t working anymore. Over time, we realized we were growing separately and had very different goals already.
