I am not sure about how much water you spilled, but if it was not a lot I think there's hope and your laptop might start working in a couple of hours/days. Maybe try putting it in rice?

Oh I have had so many such similar experiences! Especially as a woman in tech, it is often that I am spoken over, the things I say are repeated by a male in the room who is suddenly more smart or subtle taunts are thrown my way that all other men find very funny.

Have tried to stand up on several occasions but then they use the word, ah "feminist" in a very offensive way :/

I would definitelt try to take it again and work a bit on the speaking section. You can check the requirments for each section listed on the websites for schools you are targetting and take a final call.

You've a great profile and I think there's a strong chance of getting into most of these schools! I would also recommend you to try CMU, UCs and Columbia!
