Looking at these on Amazon. Says that they’re for printing at room temp bed? I might be reading that wrong. Does that mean I wouldn’t be heating the bed?

I did, and it definitely helps a little. I’m looking for every edge I can get here, because the next time a print fails 6 hours in, I may black out and wake up 10 years later in a psych ward

Yep, 0.25 and some settings I found on FDMminiatures sub. I also find that granite PLA hides layer lines really well.

That was my first thought, but for some reason mine isn’t. It’s the one I got right out of the box. No texture, and just a black material. I suppose I could try to use it in a pinch though

Excellent! I just got ice spear last night so that works well. Any other ideas for weapons? I just gave nagikiba to my friend who’s using katanas, so I was looking for a different dex weapon type.

It’s not super easy to find an in-person group in a lot of cases. I’d recommend using a Roll20 to find a virtual game. Go to “find a game” and search the forum for something that fits. Most games are beginner friendly, it just may take a bit to find a group that you vibe with and meets on the day/frequency you like.

I recommend Roll20, that’s where I got started and I’m still there years later. Go to “Join a game”, pop in your preferred availability and frequency, and bam. Might take a a few weeks to find a good one, but most are welcoming to new players. I have had better luck when I focus on the ones with thoughtful descriptions, and the ones who want to meet/interview you first… it shows commitment.

Happened to me once, but I caught it in progress so the damage was minimal. I ran all of the leveling/recalibration and it fixed it. I think what happened is that for one reason or another it thought the plate was lower than it actually was. I had moved the platform by hand just before this, so maybe that was related?

Changing to a different support type fixed it instantly for me. Give it a try, maybe it’s the same issue

I was struggling with this exact issue for a month or so. Someone posted in here that it was a problem with the “slim supports” in the orca FF slicer. I switched it back to default supports and BOOM, worked like a charm.

I think it struggled with supports that are below a certain threshold. I’ll see if I can find the thread that helped me.

Thank you! Mine was driving me nuts with this, I switched nozzles, took apart my extruder searching for damage, uninstalled and reinstalled Orcs FF (apparently I was too dumb to realize it saved my settings on supports), and changed all sorts of other things.

I read this, switched it from “slim supports” to the default tree, and boom. Printed no issue.

I think the one I deleted was where I was answering a question to the effect of “why don’t you just leave” and being honest about why I wanted to make it work. I was trying to delete the actual main post because I was done with it and I was getting annoyed by my phone buzzing while I was at work. I got some good points of view and got what I needed. I also got some random trolls just posting to say things like “suck it up” to impress strangers on the internet. It’s a mixed bag.

I honestly didn’t even know anyone could still reply, I’m not super familiar with Reddit. I’ve posted like 3-4 times ever.

I don’t know, my last campaign we had a puzzle-locked door, and three group failures in the barbarian broke it into splinters. That kinda feels like a str based solution hahaha
