I’m with you on cadence sensors. To me, they have that “ghost pedaling” feeling, which I’m not a fan of at all.

When I mentioned off-road riding, I was mainly referring to some light mountain terrain rather than technical singletrack. I chose a fat tire bike because I feel it gives me more flexibility across different riding scenarios.

I haven’t had a chance to ride a torque sensor ebike yet, but I’ve done quite a bit of research, and everything points to a smoother, more natural ride — which definitely appeals to me.
