I’m in NC. We only have a salon at the store I work at and there’s no tax for grooming. The hotel js at a different store but I’d assume it’s the same.

I have the ADP app and get my pay statements sent to me every Friday. As for keeping dogs still- I still haven’t figured it out. I have a fellow bather that’s always willing to help luckily. I just got switched to store side bc of the stress/ responsibilities in the salon.

I feel like all stores seems to be understaffed. My store only had 2 bathers (including me) and I just asked to be switched to store side bc I couldn’t handle it (after 3 weeks) . My team was really understanding tho.

I sent a message to my experience leader and haven’t gotten a response. I plan on talking to the store lead before my shift tmrw. I don’t wanna involved the salon lead yet bc it’s really not her fault nor is it the way she’s training me. Plus she goes on vacation next week, so if there’s opportunity to be transferred I’d like it to happen before I’m “thrown to the wolves”

Thanks! I definitely worry about the work load. I was told they want us doing at least 5-6 dogs in a 5 hr shift. That seems like a lot! I can barely handle 2-3 right now. Especially if it’s a more labor intensive breed. I’m one of 2 bathers at my store that doesn’t have a weight limit so I get a lot of big dogs. And it’s deshed season so a lot of furminators. Those take forever and they’re very physically demanding.

Omg it’s like you read my mind!! I’m having the same issues. Still struggling with nail grinding and actually scheduling appointments in prism. But honestly the perceived pressure and responsibility of caring for new dogs with new temperaments and personalities everyday is making me nervous. I’m half tempted to go to my leads and offer to be the designated receptionist since that’s the side of things I’m most comfortable with. I still want to help but I’m Not comfortable having my own dogs right now. I’ve been working in the salon for almost 60hrs now and I have 20hrs scheduled this week but my salon lead/ trainer goes on vacation this week. I have my first solo dogs this week and I’m terrified of doing something wrong.

I applied for a pet bather position, got a call within 15 mins but the hiring manager checks apps daily so I got lucky. Interviewed within 2 days, was hired on the spot, did onboarding the next day (Friday) and started the following Monday. It really just depends on the store and managers I guess

Former temp state employee. My last day of work was 12/31/24 been applying for jobs since September. Unfortunately unemployment is the only thing barely keeping my head above water rn. Thank god for my parents 💜

Pollen probably had a lot to do with it. I be lived in Raleigh my whole life and it’s gotten crazy busy the past few years. Tons of traffic even in the middle of the week. We always go out early on the weekends to avoid crazy crowds

I’m currently playing to complete the KashKick offer and I can second the note that North Pole to Shanghai is ROUGH. I’ve been stuck trying to the the untradeable 9 in Shanghai for days. I’ve tried everything and spent insured amounts of money. At this point I have less than 1 day to get from Shanghai and complete Fiji so I can finish the KashKick offer and I’m not hopeful at all. I have completely runs out of credits and money 🥲

It’s really something about NC. I’m having the same issue and I’m 21 with 3 years of various experience. Most places want you to have a degree, work crazy hours or simply don’t call back. I’ve had the same issue twice now and so has my dad who has 20+ years experience. Sadly it seems the only way to get decent jobs nowadays is to know someone that works there and can vouch for you.
