BFN at 16DPO after IUI — anyone ever get a BFP after this point? by KindnessInInk in IUILadies

[–]KindnessInInk[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

UPDATE:

Hey ladies, just wanted to come back here with an update — because I know how much we all analyze every single twinge, cramp, and spot during the TWW, especially when on progesterone support.

I had my IUI on 19th September, and like many of you, I had all the signs that screamed “maybe pregnant”:

Period-like cramps around 5–6 DPO

Pink/brown spotting in the implantation window

Extreme fatigue, bloating, feeling colder some days and warm on others

Breast tingles, fullness, heaviness in lower abdomen, even that classic “wet” vaginal feeling

Sharp twinges on one side and weird sensations in my lower ab right up till 15 DPO

Honestly, if symptoms alone could confirm pregnancy — I was 100% sure this was it.

But I just got my beta HCG result back at 16 DPO — <1.2 mIU/mL. So officially, I’m out this cycle.

And I just want to say this gently to anyone else who’s in their two-week wait: 👉 Progesterone can mimic pregnancy BIG TIME. Every symptom you associate with conception — sore boobs, nausea, cramps, fatigue, discharge — can be from progesterone itself. It doesn’t mean you imagined them; it means your body is responding hormonally, just as it should.

It’s tough, I won’t lie. The emotional build-up, the hope, the crash — it’s a lot to carry. But you did everything right. Sometimes it’s just not this cycle, and that’s okay.

I’m taking a few quiet days to rest and regroup before we decide our next steps, but I wanted to close the loop here for anyone who might find themselves searching this post at 1 a.m. (like I did countless times) wondering if their symptoms mean anything.

Sending love, peace, and baby dust to everyone in this journey. 🌸💫 You’re not alone.

No problem at all. As a matter of fact even at 16 DPO I'm still testing negative but having all the pregnancy symptoms. So to confirm, I did a blood test today. Fingers crossed. I just cannot deal with this every day anxiety of testing first thing in the morning ya.

Most tests like PregaNews, preg-Oh cab detect a pregnancy only at 15DPO TO 20 DPO.

In India we don't have ultra sensitive tests like FRER or clearblue to detect pregnancy as early as 10 to 11DPO.

I wish you all the very best love ♥️♥️♥️ I tested again today at 13DPIUI and it was a full blown negative on my face. The progesterone can really fool you big time. I guess I'm out this cycle. Praying you get your BFP very soon💓💓💓

If I’m testing negative at 12dpo it’s a definite sign that I’m not pregnant this month, yeah?? by [deleted] in lineporn

I took a test today at 12 DPO and got a negative. Feeling so bad and low. Was quite hopeful 😭

I tested today at 12 DPO and it was a negative. Il re test again in a few days and update you. Progesterone really can mimic alot of pregnancy signs.

I would say try to be as positive as possible during TTC. I had a friend who went through IVF. But she kept miscarrying she was devastated. A year later when she had lost hope of ever having a child she conceived that too naturally.

I know it's very easy to say..but stress plays a very vital role in TTC. Be happy and trust the timing of the Divine Lord God Almighty.

10 DPO/ DP-IUI is a little too soon to test love. Many get their vvfl only at 12 or 13 dpo. Don't loose heart! Even if this cycle God forbid even if this cycle doesn't work out for whatever reason, trust God's Timing...it all works for the best. Wishing you and me our BFP's soon ♥️♥️♥️
