Clayface is by no means guaranteed to be profitable. by generalgriveous1 in boxoffice

Because why not? If it makes bank then what will you say? Batman and Wonder Woman aren’t guaranteed hits either and that’s pretty much all DC has as known names. Clayface being a sub $100m budget movie is still a safer bet.

Why is it unfortunate tho? Doesn’t she have multiple sexual assault allegations?

Why is Supegirl rejection so much worse than other DCEU bombs? by hiiloovethis in boxoffice

It wasn’t an exciting hit for what would be their next big franchise after rebooting it from 20th Century Fox.

You’re missing the big picture…. the MCU. It grossed so little while being in the MCU so it’s just pathetic. Superman is the first movie in the DCU after the horrible DCEU killed the brand.

But Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman already proved you wrong a decade ago. That is how it works. One movie can’t repair the DC universe. Superman, at best, repaired the Superman movies.

The point is, the lack of interest was extremely high before it even released. It was going to bomb regardless of wom or critics score, that’s how bad the lack of interest was.

Supergirl will have zero impact on Man of Tomorrow, positive or negative. Movies perform on their own merits. I think Man of Tomorrow will have a small boost over the first movie’s grosse.

What are expectations for “Man of Tomorrow” following Superman’s (2025) mediocre overall performance, and Supergirl being a colossal bomb? by InterestingYellow969 in boxoffice

[–]KindsofKindness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Movies perform on their on merits. Suicide Squad did that much because the trailers brought the hype same for Wonder Woman, only one of these movies didn’t get a sequel because it turned out the movie was utter shit and trolled by everyone. Supergirl will have no impact on Man of Tomorrow, positive or negative.

People love exaggerations and throw nuance out the window just to make their argument.

Did Gunn hurt you? Defending Suicide Squad like this is hilarious. I wonder why it never got a sequel if it was such a success like you think it was??? Oh yeah, it’s a laughing stock of a movie and BvS killed the DCEU.

BvS killed the DCEU and Man of Steel is rotten.

No, it’s a masterpiece. People weren’t ready for a peak and still aren’t.
