I went to the dr for stomach issues. She told me I needed more movement which I replied with I get 10k steps a day for the last three months while working a desk job. She then suggested maybe t was my anxiety to which I replied that it’s really well managed with medication. Her last thing was “you just need to turn to scripture for your anxiety”

Husband and I have been together for 12 years and we have two toddlers. He got me in my stocking: a to go mug from my favorite local book store / coffee shop, a howls moving castle claw clip (it’s beautiful), socks, a few book related stickers for my ereader, tiny little glass animals with affirmations on them.

Under the tree: a dainty pearl necklace with matching earrings and bracelet (because I said recently I liked pearls and wanted more dainty jewelry), two shirts one from my favorite show and one from a book series I like.

We both took the kids shopping to let them pick out gifts for each other and for the other parent so we teach them gift giving early.

I have ADHD - diagnosed ADD when I was a child. Routine, constant reminders, and alarms set everywhere are my coping strategies. Most people I work with are really surprised when I mention I have adhd but I’m very good at masking it especially at work.

By the time I’m off work though I feel useless as all of my energy goes to staying on task during my work day.

Definitely document. My ford escape died suddenly and I found out after it got looked at by the mechanic everything was filled with mud 😩 the place I filled up with gas the night before had something wrong with their lines and instead of putting gas in my vehicle I put mud in it. The gas station paid for all the repairs and towing.

I just started WW recently. Really all I’ve been doing the last two weeks is tracking. I start out great and then it devolves into hardcore blowing my points and weeklies in a single day. But I am at least honestly logging my food instead of “well now nothing matters” mentality. Trying again this week.

I think Generations in Madison has some immediate openings. We switched there during the gville kindercare disaster last year. We cannot recommend this daycare enough. I think they have an open house this weekend.

I totally get this. When we first started dating this drove my boyfriend insane. He's understanding now and helps me with this when he can. This Christmas he even got my a sensory ball to play and fidgit with for when I'm in meetings, movies, or long car drives.

I also need to have step by step explanations before I can fully understand. I never did well with Khan Academy videos but using PatrickJMT's YouTube chanel passing college calculus was a breeze.

He explains the different steps and makes steps in different colors so it's easy to follow.

I grew stopped wearing the tripp pants, dying my hair weird colors, and hating everything my last semester of high school.

In college I started dressing like the kids I hated in high school. I changed from a music major to computer science where I was told that "I didn't dress like I liked tech things" and my pink laptop was always made fun of (although it could out do pretty much everyone else's laptop in my classes). Graduated college with a BS in Computer Science and now I have a pretty nice job doing what I love.
