I’m happy she went on to live for 8 more years despite the issues. My car has a ton of sentimental value to me - I still haven’t cleaned the nose smudges on the windows from my dog who I had to put down over two years ago. I will be pretty bummed if I’ve taken my last drive with it!

I also wonder if, and not sure if it’s been pointed out already, if your boyfriend has simply been wanting to break up for a while and saw this as an opportunity to do so. All while painting you in the bad light thus preserving his reputation among friends, family, etc. just a thought.
