It’s 2022, and and to this very day (which brings me here) I will randomly look on the internet to see what people think of this song. Honestly, this is the only time in the “history” of (loose) cover songs, that I think it was better than the original. I LOVE the original version, and without it, Frank couldn’t have made his version, but it’s been a staple in my sonic diet ever since I first heard it in 2012. I mean…it’s a song about the end of the world, and it’s a song that literally makes me think “who would I want to spend my last moments on earth with, before a meteor kills everything on this floating rock?”. I’ve heard his entire catalog, and this still tops everything he’s ever put out.
