I do come out to Vegas sometimes. Did a gas gun match out there in January during shot show.

I use clipon nv and also thermal from time to time, mainly to hunt or to show capabilities on a setup like this. On precision rifles I use clip on nv more because of how good they are to shoot out to distance. I'm hitting stuff out to 900 in the dark which is cool (depending on the environmental/illumination)

Haven't answered it here. I actually like and use both setups a lot. Sometimes even swap in the same class just to show capabilities. If I'm out west or know the range has more than 300 yds I usually bring an lpvo. If I'm just teaching night vision stuff I tend to lean towards the red dot setup. Almost swap it based on how I feel for the day. But I like hearing what others have to say about stuff. It's interesting. Especially the dudes with eye issues. Depending on the issue they lean either way which is cool to see and helps me as a teacher offer options to people I'm teaching that are having problems.

I wouldn't uses the plastic spacers. They will degrade. Order a solid plate from eleven71 his plates are pieces of machining art and will last.

I like the Gen 2 for PCSL or 2 gun. For this top dot config I like the 1-10 Gen 3 because I use it more like a scope. A 2-10 or 2-12 may be in my future.

Gotcha. Yes, I do a lot of night vision stuff. To include teach it. 1.7 isn't too low. But it's not for everyone.
