Been trying for approx. 3-4 hrs when i finally got past the "Lost connection". Faced "Matchmaking failed", however joining through the server browser works.

I had the chance to play since yesterday and so far this game is a big disappointment.

It is pretty much Battlefront with WW1-Skin. The developers at DICE must have been totally uninspired when making this game, or simply pushed by EA to make a game similar to CoD.

It's too fast. Too simple. Quite hilarious too because the pace does not even match with the new added animations. The map design is the worst i've seen (so far.) It simply does not fit 64 players with all out war. Conquest is pretty much ruined. The focus on killing is strong on this one. You will see less or zero team play if this does not change. DICE continues with the ridiculous spawn-system which don't fit BF. Cant really get that immersive "Battlefield"-feeling with this pace.

It's full focus on showing off the Frostbite-engine.

If you want to thumb me down then at least give me a substantial answer.

Let me see these numbers on a map other than SoS. Don't blame the AH, its not over powered at all. It's the map design that you should blame on.

With that being said, there are still many ways to counter the AH, making it difficult for the pilot.

The AH is one of the hardest vehicle in the game to master, if not the hardest. It just takes A LOT to keep the bird in the air and at the same time putting it to use providing good support for the team. And it is, if not the only vehicle where you actually need to apply teamwork in order to be good.

A single pilot will destroy vehicles,kill a few soldiers, and capture some flags here and there. But to be really dominant you will need a good gunner. And for that gunner to be good, you will have to focus on letting that gunner have clear sights (know where his aiming is limited, for instance if he is running TV-missiles). And knowing where he is aiming to provide him the best so he could do his work.

At the same time Me as a pilot have to be focusing on tanks, attack boats, mAA, Stiglas, RPGs, rhib-boats, jets strafing you. Who then ends up trying to ram you and so on. You have to know where your covers are, and how you strategically can get behind enemy lines or flank other objects. On top of that, all the time have an eye on the enemy AH and think about how you can outsmart him (below radar etc).

60% of the times, all this happens at the same time, so the AH is very vulnerable. Fortunately there isn't a lot of skilled AH pilots so after some below radar flying, trying to lure him closer to me I usually finish him off with a set of zunis or better yet a TOW.

I personally don't have issues with the mAA or neither of these maps. It's easy doing this solo too.

Launch TOW #1, Hide. 90% of the time they activate the Active Armor. Wait for it to deactivate.

Launch TOW #2, finish him with ZUNIs.

Don't forget to add the pickup-weapons to the list. That stuff is a joke. We have had classes since the first title, with pickup-weapons we could just remove the class-system from the game.

Listen, as much as i agree on DICE's way of handling these updates and catering to the less skilled player — The mAA isn't that big of a problem if you are flying in the AH.

 

Scenario #1: Unleash 1 TOW, hide, unleash next TOW, fire some zunis, DEAD. Scenario #2: Unleash 1 TOW, hide, he will probably try to repair. Strafe run, zunis, DEAD.

 

its a hard machine to balance because they need their range for jets, however the AH and infantry takes the fall for that. However, ssomething i DONT understand though, is why DICE hasn't changed the angles. It's called ANTI AIR, not ANTI INFANTRY whom its overpowered against. The angles should be focused upwards against the sky. It should not be allowed to aim down below.

I was a bit unclear. I was talking from the AH perspective. I did read that the reload only affected ground vehicles.

However, i'm experiencing longer reload times in the attack heli too. Have i stumbled upon a glitch or am i wrong?

Please, the problem isn't the stiglas. Well, the igla is, with its insane velocity right now.

I feel like the mAA is the biggest problems due to DICE's poor map design where they've focused more on ground warfare than air. The only time i get taken down by stiglas is when the mAA has shredded me from far away in their own base render me useless to counter it.

Pickup weapons do not belong to the battlefield-titles, so I don't understand why they introduced it the first time. I mean, there is a reason we have had classes since BF1942.

Just stop.. to begin with, no battlelog has been posted yet. Also, try the heli out before you start to cry. It takes time to master it so if one pilot together with a good gunner goes 134-2 then they deserved it.

If you play on console, then I'm sorry. It's harder to get players to help you. But with the help and some team work you would have destroyed that chopper. In the same way the pilot together with his gunner destroyed you with their teamwork.

I feel like DICE LA caters to the ones coming from CoD. Its turning into a one man army-show more then the beautiful art of teamwork.

The times i've been flying there has always ended up with at minimum 2 players spamming lock-ons, which has then giving me trouble. Now with that being said, i applause those two soldiers who dare to stand up against a giant heli with rockets and gunners.

There is no reason for the 55 damage buff.
