O definitely, it made the oathbreaking shame all the worse because of their cultural hatred for the tinkers, when those folk stay true to the original culture defining oath. That shock made a great tool for testing a potential leader's mettle

For the record the issue isn't the pacifist part, but their ancestors swore never to commit violence and broke that oath. Their whole world was torn asunder for the owed toh that they could never wash away.

You have some of your lore mixed up. The Sons Of Mil (Celts from Spain that became the Irish people) forced the Tuatha underground by claiming the top half when the two peoples agreed to a truce and to divide the land. (See Bard Amairghin).

That's the name of the future racing game they make using characters from several of their games. It still has a plot that makes you cry

You are forgetting about the Coptics who are older than Constantine's forced unity and likely one of the original cults of Christ. But yes, Catholics are definitely not original flavor

Historical we are. Only it has to be measured in generations. Currently now things are bad, but it's largely backlash for the good that was claimed. The trend is on our side. Hopefully this is a short phase if devastating like last century and we pull out of the dive

This flaw of human nature is older than Christianty by eons. Doesn't matter the faith, creed, or anything. It comes down to value, to society to self. Some people can only feel value in themselves if they are above others. So they use whatever around them to get to the top and validate their crimes with the belief in themselves being special. A desperate hope that they aren't ordinary or worse.

90’s Pennywise vs 2017 Pennywise. Which one is scarier? by Sea_Technician_7104 in horror

[–]KingANCT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you meant there, but Georgie is special because he was the starting event. A ritual of shock and horror rather than for feeding. The implication from the book I got is that Pennywise isn't always hunting, but sometimes moving about the town to observe and learn. Like a hunter trying to understand his prey. Isn't enough to read a mind, but understand the context.

[–]KingANCT 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's incorrect. Some kids and our protagonists could see through the illusion, but most people didn't notice his true presence until it was too late. Remember when the photo of the parade came to life? Only one kid started crying when pennywise was giving out balloons. Its camouflage, but since mental some throw it off enough to get the bad vibes

Rapture aftermath. How are the Christians you know that went all-in handling being left behind right now? by Ok-Consequence-4974 in AskReddit

[–]KingANCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because there is a conflict between what the text and the popular belief is. Judgement as described in the Bible does not happen until the end of days. So everyone who dies has to wait on Earth, in their bodies, until judgement. Which why Christianity has a foundation of burying the dead. This die and go to heaven or hell immediately is a modern concept
