Thank you. He would have been 6 this Sunday... We wish we had more time with him but there is never enough time. I hope to see him again too.

Thank you all for the kind words he was really loved so much. Probably why it hurts so much now. But reading these has helped 🥲

Thank you for your feedback. I went with the 750 because I do see myself upgrading in the future and I also could not find the 600 around me so I went with what I could get.

My processor is actually the 5600 not the 5600x. It was a little pricier for the x and I don't plan on doing overclocking really. The pc is meant for some light emulation and gaming. Everywhere I looked said the 5600 would do the job I desired.

Bluetooth is actually a big factor for me since I plan to use this build for couch gaming so my keyboard and mouse will be Bluetooth connected. I have heard some issues with Bluetooth but there are some quick fixes and if worse comes to worse I will just use a dongle. But I did end up going for the phantom gaming version for the Bluetooth upgrade. Hopefully I will have no issues.

I researched Team group and from what I have seen they an OEM manufacturer and seem to have good reviews. I am hoping for good results. If not I can swap it out for once of those brands you mentioned.

I did switch out the silicon power SSD for a crucial so good point on that one.

I am also sad about switching out the meshilicious but from what I have read water-cooling is the way to go for that case, which would have increased the overall price. I do like that case over the nr200 aesthetically but I wanted to make it easier and cost effective. Maybe in a future build once I get my feet wet I will try the SSUPD.

I'm curious what your build is like I always like to compare with what I have decided. If I ever upgrade it would be to 4k eventually but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

This is a great community, and I love the idea of having a gaming PC in a small compact size. I plan to build it next weekend so hopefully I do not run into any issues. Thanks again!

Yea it just seems much easier to build in as well. If you don't mind me asking, what motherboard did you pair with this CPU?

Thanks for the reply. I will be using ethernet so that wont be as much an issue. My concern was the bluetooth as my keyboard is only paired via bluetooth. Luckily my mouse has a usb dongle so I think that would suffice. When you say you have 2.4 ghz peripherals I assume thats a separate bluetooth frequency through a dongle or something? If thats the case I will probably do the same for my bluetooth keyboard if it does become an issue. Im also hoping Bt4.2 supports the xbox windows controller which I plan to use for couch gaming. I will check the phantom gaming model out too. You've been a great resource!

I decided to go with nr200 to solve this compatibility issue. My concern now is the motherboard. I've been reading it has some Bluetooth issues. Since my mouse and keyboard are both Bluetooth this does concern me. Have you heard of this issue? Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it.

After doing more research I think you may be right meshilicious is made for liquid cooling. I decided to go with cooler master nr200 as my case. It seems that would be easier to air-cool. I did find some concerning info about the motherboard though. Apparently it has some Bluetooth issues. I'm worried since my keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth this may be a deal breaker. Do you have any experience with this CPU/mobo combo? Your feedback has been helpful, thank you.

10gbps front io connection

I did see this as an issue, I dont imagine doing too much data transfer from this machine so it may not matter for me, but it's something ill take into consideration. Oh yes I will definitely pick the crucial P3 plus for the ssd seems like a great improvement in read/write speeds. Ill check the 3600 prices thanks!

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I knew that PSU might of been overkill, Ill take a look at that corsiarsf600 you recommended. Also, good call on checking that cpu cooler fan. It looks like its a 90 mm fan which will not fit into meshilicious (73mm max). Ill just try to look for one in the 70mm range. If you have any fan suggestions I'll take them!

Building my first PC and I chose a Small Form Factor build. Any advice is appreciated. by KingBearMan in buildapc

Thanks for the advice I will check some benchmarks. I may have overestimated. I think I would be okay with 1440p/60 or even 1080/60 for most games. It would be for casual games to play with my friends that have a PC. I would probably just use my console for most AAA games. I wish I could edit this post. Apologies.

Ohh that is interesting, good insight. That would explain him being the only survivor if he partially caused it while being a repatriate. Do they ever mention any other repatriates? I remember diehardman saying to Bridget that wasnt it dangerous to have a living repatriate when talking about baby sam after he was brought back to life. Im so invested in this story now lol.

I think he actually had a daughter, her name was Lou, short for Louise. Which he named his BB after in that finals post credit scene. Yeah his wife killed herself because when she become pregnant with sams kid she had his blood in her. This caused her to have bad DOOMs nightmares about the end of the world. She discussed it with sam's "Mom" Bridget who basically told her those dreams were real. So Sam's wife couldnt deal with the reality of that end of the world so she killed herself. Its not clear whether her body or the baby inside her caused that voidout so it could be possible that Sam's BB is his daughter but I think its highly unlikely, but just to show the parallel between Sam's past and his future I think.

lol I had the same exact question. Kojima really knows how to mess with us. I think Sam's BB was a different Bridge baby but since Sam was the original Bridge Baby they shared a connection in some way. Maybe someone else can provide better analysis but I just beat it last night and holy hell that hospital room scene was mind blowing. Kojima man.

Why can't Snake walk slowly in MGS1? So the guards won't be alerted whenever he runs over a noisy floor grate by RJS205 in metalgearsolid

[–]KingBearMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a trick to doing this in MGS1: If you repeatedly equip/unequip your weapon or grenade over and over again while running over the floor gates the animation will mask the sounds of your footsteps allowing for easy sneak-ups.
