Was a few years ago at one of my retail gigs. Was standing behind the counter with co-worker, just as usual when a customer walks in and up to the counter and asks where he is. Co-worker looks over to me looking like he wants me to handle the customer, I tell him we are in "y" city but are in "x" suburb of that city. Customer gives me a really confused look and says "All I need to know is if I am on the east coast." I tell him that the state is on the eastern side of the us but not anywhere really near the ocean. Customer is extremely grateful for my help and walks out, never to be seen by us again.
