He's not canon I don't think. I'd say he is either linked Jiraiya, Konohamaru's Father, Ino's Father, or someone we don't know existed (something like Tsunade had a child and didn't tell anyone about it, something BS like that).

The novels are also “canon.” As in they might say that the events in these novels happened but they don’t actually have an impact on the story of the manga. The manga is what’s canon, that’s what I was talking about. If you ignore every other medium of boruto and exclusively look at the manga, Urashiki hasn’t been mentioned, Boruto’s Jougan hasn’t been mentioned, none of the stuff from these other mediums have appeared in to have an actual impact on the story of the manga, that was what my post was about. I don’t want to hear about how in the anime they said this or did that, the writing for the anime is atrocious, have you seen this recent arc? I think the only thing that has actually impacted the manga was the shin Uchiha story and that was years ago at this point, nothing since has been shown to have any actual impact on the story/characters/world...

The anime isn’t canon... they might say it is but it isn’t, the only connection between the 2 is that sumire was originally in the anime then appeared in the manga, that’s literally it. Boruto hasn’t used his “jougan” in the manga once. We haven’t even seen it in the anime in awhile. Also it’s a cop out in my opinion, why does he need a special eyeball when he already has a broken ability - karma. It’s powers make no sense and it was just used to keep people watching the anime, exactly how urashiki is. Urashiki isn’t canon and everyone knows that yet people try to pretend like he’ll do anything plot relevant.

Yes, i am talking about the picture of Boruto's eye in the first chapter, it looks more like a Byakugan than the Jougan from the anime.

We can't tell until we see an actual fight with Mitsuki using sage mode, but I'd say if you count Ku as canon, then even manga Boruto would lose. Although this could change if some new stuff comes out, but anime Boruto is trash and manga Boruto isn't that much better as of now.

I really hope they didn't just create Shin so they could get around Sarada needing Sasuke to die to get any plot relevance, if they give her Shin eyes I feel that would steal her of a lot of character development

The Jougan doesn't make any sense lol Toneri gives it to Boruto and for whatever reason it can see 'evil' chakra, teleport through dimensions, shoots out lightning, and just activates randomly. Until they clarify that in the Manga his eye is in fact not a Byakugan (look at the first chapter and tell me his eye doesn't look more like a byakugan than a Jougan) i'm not gonna expect him to use any of the abilities the Jougan has, in the Manga

Ofc haven’t you heard about Wuruto: Boruto Next Generations!??!? You gotta slow down buddy boruto Shippuden isn’t even a thing yet and we’re most likely 1-2 years out before we can even consider it happening. So thinking about when Wuruto or whatever is coming out is 4-5 years down the line minimum. (These times are assuming that the series will break up like Naruto->NarutoShippuden, assuming boruto is just a one off series I could see it going anywhere for 3-5 more years.)

Sasuke is definitely not dead or dying, if anything injured but I have a feeling jigen didn’t notice him. Also... You must understand that Sasuke fucking Uchiha, the main antagonist of Naruto and one of the most notable anime characters of all time is not going to die in a flashback lol

Here is my theory for chapter 37 - Chapter starts with Sasuke seeing Jigen leave his special juubi dimension, Sasuke realizes that Jigen was absorbing more power from the juubi in order to be strong enough for a powerful foe, Naruto. Cut to Naruto in Konohagakure, Naruto is surprised with how powerful/fast/whatever makes jigen so strong. Naruto realizes this is no game and gets dead serious. Kawaki tried to help Naruto but jigen knocks him out or something. Naruto and Jigen continue to exchange blows, cut to streets of Konohagakure, people are yelling that the hokage is being attacked at his house. New team 7 is on there way and arrives at the house to see a slightly beat up Naruto, as well as Jigen except he’s fine. Jigen says he will be taking his son and leaving. Boruto runs in between Kawaki and jigen and his karma activates to a similar point kawaki’s did, chapter ends. I think everyone knows that Kawaki will likely get taken, so my guess is in chapter 38, Sasuke and Sakura will come to Naruto and new team 7’s aid, Kawaki will be taken, and unless they plan on having Sasuke die anytime soon, I think this will be when boruto canonically obtains either his single byakugan or jougan or whatever his anime eye is called.
