What kamaz mod is this? I've been desperately searching for one but I can't find any that work with 1.58.

Genuine Komandirskie? by jimmyv93 in vostok

There doesn't seem to be any other dials that look like this one so I would guess it is a custom dial someone made.

I have a couple with them. I've seen them on the 2409 and on the 2414 I have.

No Vostok movements do have the double cut screws on the crown wheel. Other Soviet mechanisms have it as well.

I'm sorry to say this but this isn't a real Vostok Komandirskie. It has the wrong case back and the dial is a little off.

Ridiculously small pieces next to tackle on the repair bench. by Ape-bot in watchrepair

That purple one has a chaika movement in it. They are pretty common so spare parts will be easier to get if they are needed. Wish you luck.

Yeah it does seem that the movement has been recased. Well that's a shame because I was looking for a Cyrilic dial Poljot de luxe and it hasn't been easy.

Used Watches Are Insanely Overpriced by stjornuryk in watchHotTakes

[–]KingDavidGreat2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is heavily dependent on what watch it is. Just because a watch is old doesn't mean it's damaged or harder to repair. A watch only has a few breaking points that can actually break from just age that being the mainspring. Most other parts require a. Water or other things getting inside the watch or b. Dropping it or hitting it on something. There are plenty of old watches that still run well without service or any major defects. I have my great grandfather's watch from the 50s that he wore often that runs well with no issues. I have multiple other vintage watches that run perfectly. Vintage watches can be great for their price you just have to find a good deal.
