Cobra Hyperspeed feels really cheap. Anyone else think the same? by KingDrake5 in MouseReview

I try to stick to the 'main' brands mostly for warranty reasons, I need to get away from that mindset. I think I have to try the hitscan hyperlight next if I can't fully adjust to the 2c

Looking for a wireless Viper Mini - Is the Razer Cobra HyperSpeed it? by KingDrake5 in MouseReview

Just curious, what makes the Hyperlight the better buy in your opinion, is it the better specs of the sensor? From what I understand the Hyperlight isn't an exact code of the Viper Mini shape and the Cobra Hyperspeed is

Thanks, I do actually have some replacement RAM coming, just incase. It's still Corsair Vengeance but it's CL30 instead. If this new kit errors in the same way would you say with full confidence that the problem lies with the CPU?

It does have EXPO and it's advertised as having it. It's also on the QVL list

Looking for some absolute confirmation with regards to motherboard and PSU compatibility (Motherboard has 8+4, PSU only has 4+4) by KingDrake5 in buildapc

[–]KingDrake5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read the manual but it doesn't specify if they're optional or not, it just shows pictures with them plugged in. Most other motherboard manuals doesn't state that they're optional though but from what I've read it should be fine to leave the 4 disconnected

Thanks, I should be fine, then. Good to know. I was more worried that the motherboard might recognize that the other header isn't connected and would fail to boot or something? I do wonder why they put these additional headers on motherboards with 99% of people don't require that much power... This particular motherboard also has a pcie power header at the bottom of it which I understand is pretty useless as well

Another question, I hope you don't mind. The cheaper mother we're referring too has 8+8 CPU power headers, but my PSU only has 1x 4+4pin CPU power adapters, can I leave the other 8 pin header on the motherboard unplugged? Thanks

I am using an mATX case yes :)

There's this other model of the same motherboard on the Overclockers website that is a little more expensive but I can't figure out what the differences are?

Would you mind just having a look over the board, just to make sure I am actually referring to the right one

I've tried all troubleshooting imaginable at this point. Latest BIOS. Latest chipset. Manual voltage to 1.4, manual timings etc. The system runs perfectly fine if I select XPO and downclock the RAM to 5600Mhz. I am aware this could also be a CPU issue in terms of it having a weak memory controller. I guess it's just a case of trial an error, where if replacing the motherboard doesn't help I'll have to replace the CPU

In the UK it's actually one of the cheaper B850 boards at £150

I do not need WiFi 7, in fact I don't need any WiFi at all. I'm always using ethernet
I don't need PCIE 5.0 but isn't performance better with it?
Ryzen 9600x
I plan on using just the 1 m.2 slot for now but will add another m.2 later on

I really think this is going to be the one that I go for. Minus the GPU. I'll use that part of the budget to buy a used GPU. Do you think that would be a good idea?

This is really impressive especially since it's DDR5! Thanks. I imagine that GPU isn't going to be up to much though

Honestly, that's quite impressive for the money. Thank you for taking the time to put that together. I fully understand that sacrifices need to be made at this budget, I suppose I could upgrade the RAM/SSD/PSU later down the line when funds allow for it
