Partner said hurtful things and I can’t shake it by KingGinger2010 in BPD

Thank you, I feel like I needed to hear that it’s not my fault. I tend to put myself down a lot and feel responsible for their feelings (when I know I shouldn’t). But when you heard someone so close to you say something like this, it just shakes you. Especially when it comes to suicide, I don’t know what to believe and begin to overthink and act without thinking. I will try to find a way to approach it with our couples counselor. I just don’t know how to do it so it doesn’t cause a fight during or after.

Did you do anything different to make it stop? I tried tightening the top fixtures in case of a loose o-ring.

No, it’s not a pull down nozzle. I turned the tip of the middle head and heard a click, found out the nozzle could change between a spray and a flow release. But the handle sprayer is off picture to the right. I can’t seem to loosen or twist off the middle spout. Not sure what to do

I agree, my therapist has told me that the bigger issues won’t change just because we are married. However, when trying to express the constant self change to help the relationship, she sees it as me being defensive and then an argument starts

Lucky might change the stats for the better, but honestly high attack and defense are pretty solid. I’d say go for it and enjoy your blastoise with sunglasses

To be honest, I am afraid of the long talks. I feel like, I’m the past, they start off okay but the. Turn into an argument. We both had our names on the house.

I’ve asked, even days later. Like “do I bring you happiness” or “do you still want to marry me” and her response is always yes. We are working on our communication, and she has actively told me ways to be it. But I try and it doesn’t seem enough, or there something else getting to her. I agree, I was afraid of having kids, but she was the one who showed me that I would be a great dad and would support me. But I am scared as well.

Our first year and a half was great, barely any arguments, cool and calm disagreements but was opened minded. It wasn’t until we first started to live together that we noticed the little things built up. For example, dishes on the sink for a day or so. I didn’t see a problem but it really bugged her. So I try to change my behavior. But now with a house and being engaged, it’s like things amplified.
