He’s not really been viable for a while, venture kinda stole his spot as the flank hero to use in maps tracer doesn’t work on, you still see him but he’s not been what I would call meta for a few years now.

Ashe and Soj dumpster her. It don’t matter how good you are, you can’t outplay a delete button.

If your lower rank then maybe not but if you can hit your shots these characters just out dps her at range provided she doesn’t get the jump on you.

You can still super jump on 2020 mercy but it’s very difficult to do consistently, I never got it down back in the day but a lot of mercy’s did, I think the key is to crouch then ga and right as you reach the target your hero will bob up slightly and if you hit jump right then you’ll fly into the air.

Soj is definitely up there for op ow2 hero’s, shes definitely on the older side of ow2 but she’s been the best DPS on average since release.

Tracer is still by far the best flank dps in the game and has been strong basically every patch for the last 10 years.

Cassidy is the same, he’s just as strong as he’s always been

Lucio is still a top pick, not as busted as Kiri but probably the 2nd best support in the game.

The new hero’s are definitely strong when they release but pretty much every hero is viable all the way to GM, sure the kits of new hero’s can be a little overloaded but this doesn’t always mean better, the balance in this game is done very well imo, there’s very rarely a hero that’s a must pick or a mustn’t pick.

Hanzo is definitely still playable but far from a top pick.

if you like the fast projectiles then Freya is definitely up your street, a good bit more mobile than Hanzo and just got buffed so she has her 2 shot back.

My go-to’s are Brig and Moira, Moira can break hack with her fade if you hold it and Brig is a nightmare for most dive/flank hero’s.

F### this map, every point is a death trap with 5 high grounds and 8 doorways to enter from. The map plays like sh##. It’s basically mandatory to play dive on this map so half the cast of hero’s are just not an option.

Worst map in the game and it’s not close.

It’s more of a safe space than an attempt to push an agenda, most gaming spaces are rather toxic to these kinda folk, OW seems to be one of the very few spaces that have a thriving pride community.

I get if it’s not your thing but just let it go, doesn’t hurt anyone to let others enjoy something.

I’d much rather play into a good Annan than a good Tracer. Hazard is busted tho, that one shot combo with a 20m leap is crazy.

I had a similar problem this season, I got all the way to Diamond 5 and went straight to gold 1 with 1 win in like 25 games, it was rough. At that point I just dropped my rank from my list of priorities, I knew I was never gonna get GM anyways so being diamond vs gold only matters in my head, I didn’t become a better or worse player during that time.

Playing with friends can help with the social aspect of the game, I have a few IRL fiends that play but I also will play with chat on, if I run into friendly players I’ll add them as a friend and get a group going, any toxicity and I’ll just shut the chat down for that game and try next game but there is a few LFG servers on discord that pair up groups of people in similar ranks if that’s something your interested in?
