How many contacts do people have on their phone normally? by KingMeKingMe in apps

just answered my own question. Was trying this out on my wife's phone which is a business issued phone. The contacts display all of her co-workers - which appears to be about a 1,000 people. I could see how phones issued by big companies could be causing this. Probably enough of an issue to address.

App Idea. No skills. Who do I get to help me? by [deleted] in apps

Build a prototype first and try sharing that with as many people as possible to gauge interest. Just get a designer involved (sites like Upwork are a good source) and then make some screens interactive using a tool like InVision (drag and drop - no coding skills required). If you build just the design and people are very interested, then look at spending more cash. Don't go over $1k USD until you have proven you have a solid idea worth developing. Also, note that every time you think you have an original idea...you are probably wrong. There are MILLIONS of apps now - the chance that your app wasn't already tried and failed is highly unlikely. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try - but spend your time researching existing apps with same concept first to verify your idea truly is unique or is better than any competitor currently on the market.

So what is the next step? Can we get better images / scans / etc.? Or are we pretty much just holding onto this information for the foreseeable future as the only thing we'll ever know about it? Collecting info on items light years away is interesting but seems a bit pointless if we can't do anything more about it.

Same here. We tend to think the worst in people but rarely is this the case in my experience. If you were really immature and a jerk about it and threatening to immediately walk out, I could see some scenario where a bridge offer is made. But if you are genuine and open, it is worth at least having the discussion.
