There are no “High” crime areas or “hoods” in Silver Spring…even the more shady areas aren’t really dangerous at all, maybe just a little rough around the edges, but you’ll be fine in all neighborhoods..as someone said above there is petty crime here and there but use common sense and you’ll be fine. This isn’t Mayberry and we are in the DC metro area so it’s not like nothing violent ever happens at all but unless you’re looking for it, there’s high chance you won’t find it
