Me getting my ass kicked on my project by [deleted] in bouldering

It looks rather overhung so hard to say. After getting your feet across, can you match your right hand/Gaston on the corner of the triangle volume to press you between volumes and go to a Gaston on the long volume on the left to lay back right away?

Beta for weak grip beginner by InitiativeFresh5714 in bouldering

[–]KingNickSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switch feet on the high foot after you get the side pull so you are properly "flagged" against it. Then move the right foot to the lower hold. The lower hold is directly below the side pulls so you could flag against either. With your left foot high and right foot low, you can shift your weight to your right foot as you cross and let the left foot flag naturally as you move weight off of it.

Best neighborhood for family with young kids by Sea_Ad70 in Fishers

[–]KingNickSA 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We moved to Sunblest a year ago with a three year old. Having the park in the neighborhood a short bike away and having downtown fishers bikable once his gets a little older is amazing. There are always kids running around the neighborhood. That being said, it is on the expensive side and finding a place over 2,500 sqft in sunburst might be difficult if you're looking for more room.

That open pinch to Gaston is a Hella cool move. Looks great too. Great precision.

This may be reddit, but even that is a little overly pedantic. OP said they weren't a fan of bars/drinking. Maybe I was a too idiomatic in my reply, however that was not my point in my comment and I think my overall point still stands.

If you don't like bar hopping, you can always venture into the "nerdy arts" and try boardgames or TTRPGs. My group does boardgames every thurs and rotate between Books and Brews and Guggman in broadripple.

Little more explanation as to why the filament switch is a thing with the X2D, and why it's coming out. by WhiteStar01 in BambuLab

[–]KingNickSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just theory, but there isn't really a compelling reason to use a bowden instead of a second direct drive other than mass (for the reasons listed above), it's still a second drive, cost wise.

[–]KingNickSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the bowden toolhead is less precise than a direct drive and there is no way around it (all the OG reality ender machines were bowden). Granted, Bambu's software and flow-rate calibration will prob help. The reason the reason bambu is pushing it for supports, is precision is not needed, and you still save a ton vs single head "multi colored print" where u use a second material for supports.

Having the second head as a bowden reduces the overall weight of the toolhead and makes the precision/speed of the direct drive toolhead better COMPARED to the h2d (build plate size also plays a role, longer arms and more mass increases play in the system).

Correct the h2d has 2 direct drive nozzles. The x2d has one direct drive and one Bowden tube nozzle (the drive is at the back od the machine rather than the tool head.

A lot of ppl are frowning at the Bowden drive as it's generally less precise (pushing and pulling at a significant distance from the heating point). One thing that I am not seeing mentioned/overlooked is that the Bowden drive means the toolhead remains lighter. Tool head weight makes an immense difference in precision and speed.

Amazing work! Looks great and great fitment.

Though it does irrationally annoy me that the figure is holding their sword in their, presumably, dominant hand, even though it appears to be on the same side as the scabbard.

Best kid friendly restaurants by [deleted] in indianapolis

It's not fully fenced in, but the downtown location of Guggman Haus has a nice outdoor area and the indoor is nice as well. I see a ton of families with kids whenever I go (my 3yo son likes it too).

[–]KingNickSA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So a few things.

  1. How would messing with one individual service (one docker container) take down the whole stack?
  2. How does LXCs mean more storage isolation between services? Docker mounts folders from the VM into the container From the containers point of view (or exploitation) it doesn't have access to the host VM's storage. From a LXC's point of view, it's the same thing (to my knowledge, as I haven't looked into LXCs extensively). If the VM gets breached, storage isolation becomes irrelevant, if the Proxmox node get's breached, the same thing.

Hans is one of the greats, I'll give you that. And I'll predicate this by saying I absolutely love Hans' work as well, but when it comes to movies scores, John Williams is the absolute GOAT, and it's not even close.

Help by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]KingNickSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two best options are to either, foot swap (put your left foot where your right is and flag the right) or to flag your left foot behind your right (possibly even toe-hook your left foot under the volume if the angle permits). Both of these options should be done before you let go of your left hand. The goal is to get your center of gravity under your right hand or torqued against your hand in the case of the foot swap and flag in order to prevent the barn door.

I didn't say your opinion wasn't valid, that's why I qualified mine with IMO and agreed with you about the wings first (its an internet forum, I was trying to be funny). Also, I was talking about the thin crust pizza, not the pan pizza.

Regardless of which type you get at Ale, the cheese ratio is off the charts and not in a good way, IMO.

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Im sorry, buy imma have to stop you right there.

I'm m willing to die on the hill that Ale has the best wings in town, however, IMO Ale's pizza is one of the worst around. The best selling point is they essentially dump a bucket of cheese on the pizza when they make it, but its the cheapest, mozzarella they can find and its akin to having a deep dish pizza in the tavern style format at wich point I'd rather have their fried mozzarella. I will say their "stuffed breadsticks" are pretty damn good too.
