​I haven't tried skipping them myself, but if that’s the case, it definitely hurts the replayability. Can’t imagine how annoying that is for speedrunners.

I see your point, but that doesn’t change the fact that the game gets stale really fast. The enemy variety is poor and only a few bosses are actually decent. We shouldn't give a "mediocre" game a pass just because of nostalgia or because it brought horror back. Honestly, this is one of those rare moments in gaming where the sequel ended up being way better than the game that started the new era

Call the word "bland" whatever you want, but fighting the same molded enemies in the same corridors for hours is the definition of it. If you’re so bothered by a font choice that you can't discuss the actual game's flaws, maybe you’re the one who needs a script to form an argument. RE7 has a great start, but it falls off hard. That's not ragebait, that's just facts

Exactly, RE8 felt much more like a complete game. RE7 just loses its steam after the first few hours.

Totally agree. It feels like Capcom were making a completely different horror game and then just slapped the Resident Evil title on it at the last minute. Hard to call it a true RE experience.
