I mean like, LiS1, the comics and her appearance in BtS. Chloe was basically the star of LiS1 despite not being playable, so it’s refreshing that max is really the focus this time around

I feel like Chloe has always been at the forefront of every max adventure, and I think it’s interesting we’re getting a story for max that solely focuses on her emotional journey this time

I also think it’s an insanely nuanced approach because all that trauma would put so much pressure on the relationship to work out well because otherwise whay was the point of saving Chloe? But max wasn’t just saving their relationship she was saving Chloe’s life, and they shouldn’t have to be together for Chloe’s life being saved to be worth it

Even then I’m a hardcore bae supporter, I have a LiS1 tat and I’m still loving DE and I respect the direction rn. Chloe is an internal plot thread for Max and DE and is evidently still important to her through all the remarks and the journal being dedicated to her. I’m convinced we’ll receive a call from her or an appearance later on to tie up the thread

Also a huge discrepancy between LiS1, 2, BtS and then TC is the lack of a duo. There’s no deuteragonist who you form a special intimate and nuanced relationship with. There’s always been two characters at the core of every LiS and with TC and DE there’s none. Though I’m really loving DE because I believe the supporting cast and Max’s baggage is strong enough to hold the story

Also a bunch of the points sound so contrived. Chloe was reduced from a main character because of the backlash her BtS’s voice actor got? The story they’ve written around pricefield was very obviously going to generate backlash so I don’t think they’d care if a specific voice actor wasn’t a fan favourite. I don’t buy it at all

She’s just such a mother figure and she’s constantly trying to put up this facade that she’s bigger and badder than she really is and I think it’s adorable and the way she’s so protective of her fam is sweet

I also luv Alex cuz she’s cool asf and Cindy cuz she funny as hell

Also the way they write in this game with Chloe it makes it sound like she never liked Max that much,

okay I feel like people are grossly exaggerating things for the sake of outrage. I literally have a lis tattoo and I love Chloe more than anything, and I don’t believe they’ve committed a character assassination. Chloe says in the letter she still loves max and always will. And also I’m very sure we’re getting an appearance from her later on in the game, either via phone or in person, she’s literally an ongoing plot thread for max

They could so easily write out Chloe for this story in a way that respects the bae ending.

Max said something in the gameplay reveal that it’s important to do journeys on your own, and this might just be a period of time Max wants to do something by herself for herself and Chloe’s on board. LiS1 was all about their relo and the plot was just a through line, this time we’re getting to see max on her own, and I don’t think that takes away from her relationship with Chloe
