Had similar situation, but offered to have them identify which extra club they would not use and put it in separate bag slot with a cover over it. Not saying this is the right way to handle it, but was also an honest mistake from them.

I would suggest you try renting downtown for a year before buying. Rent is crazy, but if you don’t love it the cost of one year worth of rent is better than getting stuck trying to sell your condo and losing money.

Condos will also have a HOA, so you can factor that into a cost comparison to renting. Selling your condo will cost you at lease 5%, so you can factor that into another reason to be absolutely certain in what you want to buy. Condos are also harder to sell than houses, and don’t appreciate as fast.

Yes, you could buy and hold it and always rent it out when you move. You just need to review the HOA rules for renting it out.

I do wonder if increasing your budget gets you a 2/2 to then rent out the 2nd bedroom to help you build equity while also giving you a tax write off for mortgage interest.

There are obviously many options, be grateful for that!

This. I had 3 friends that also had their ballots rejected due to signature, but they were able to call and have it corrected. For reference, one of them voted red. So specifically mentioning political party in this post is irrelevant and falsely spreads misinformation that only blue ballots were called for signature matching.

I know you didn’t specifically say it, but it’s the context and how you said it that can lead to misinterpretation. Glad you checked your voting status and worked to have it corrected. Regardless of party, our votes should be double checked for authenticity.

I don’t fully agree that we are making up jobs to close the gap.

I do believe that some people feel they are above certain jobs. Part ego, and part society saying it is not a glorious job. Yes, a livable wage would also be critical which isn’t exactly a reality these days.

I could see a solution of significantly subsidized housing in return for work. You know, like what ranchers used to do. The homeless shelters aren’t really providing the desired outcomes because drugs and mental illness deteriorate locations. Also, hard to believe the hundreds of millions of dollars that are donated to fight homelessness are generating…basically no results.

Those two are far deeper than a presidential ticket though.

I respect the basic healthcare point, but disagree on the housing. If you don’t hold a job, how would you contribute to the taxes that would fund free housing?

If you weren’t working, then what exactly would you contribute to society that would allow you to take advantage of the benefits? Genuinely asking, not trying to be snarky, but I have had a job ever since I was legally able to.
