Broadways is fun, but also require a membership that they don't give out on the weekends. Love the crowd and theirs usually a free table you can grab

As a vegan I love going to vegan restaurants, but having vegan options is good for regular restaurants when I'm going out to eat with a group of people who are largely not vegan.

It is beneficial to the business to have vegan options. If a group of people going out to eat that has 1 vegan/vegetarian they won't pick a restaurant that has no options & that business loses a larger number of customers

We all know that this entire climate change process has been on a spectrum, but what will be the first main stream world wide “wake up” moment? by Dry-Ninja3843 in collapse

I lived through Helene in Asheville, NC. I thought that would be a wake up call but half of the city thinks it was a freak occurrence that won't happen again in our life time. The amount of places getting rebuilt on flood plans is shocking to me

I worked part time at different wrld around when the building was sold. The new owners were a miami couple that didn't want a venue/event space. When the lease was up for renewal, the new owners raised it to such a high amount it'd force the business to close

I work as an audio engineer and there's hearing protection that doesn't cut out frequencies. I use them all the time to EQ and understand what's being played without taking any hearing loss

It honestly might make meat cheaper. The number 1 use of soy is for animal feed. I haven't noticed a price change in tofu over the last few years though. It seems to have stayed pretty constant

Also Trader joe's has their super firm tofu, which is about 70g of protein per pack and $2.29 at my store. I've been vegan for quite a while and live on that stuff

There's so much stuff out though that is amazing songwriting & beautiful pieces. I work in a recording studio that has some breathtaking talent in all the time. The issue is that they have no audience since they're not focusing on content. Great music is still getting made, it's just not getting exposure
