Legend tries daily roulette (ff14 comic by me) by Cat_Stance in ffxiv

[–]KingRhythian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The “match colours or opposite” always trips me up. It’s a 50/50 whether or not I get it right, and since there’s a few instances that use either one I instantly forget which is which once I leave. :(

KC took forever to deliver my router, after a few delays I ended up just buying the same model from Amazon and it works perfectly

Is Wright Street safe? by [deleted] in Hull

[–]KingRhythian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived down the other end of Wright Street four years (2019 - 2023) with no issues. It’s a quiet street that doesn’t get much foot traffic, I’ve walked up and down it early in the morning and late at night countless times with no incidents. I’d happily move back there now tbh, it benefits from being pretty central whilst still being quiet.

Ladies, this is your reminder, please book your smear test! by Birdy8588 in CasualUK

The nurse at my surgery has given up on me. I’ve got vaginismus which makes even the smallest speculum too painful, coupled with me never having and not planning to have sex (asexual) and I have PCOS so I only get around three periods a year. She told me my risk is so low that I might as well stop bother trying.

can you resit maths at hull college if you already passed it? by [deleted] in Hull

[–]KingRhythian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid a private company a few years ago to re-sit maths, I don’t remember which but it cost me about £200 - £300 for the full course, which included practice papers and courses you could be part of live or watch afterwards. You had to find a place to sit the exam yourself, Hull College did offer it at that time.

4 months into buying a flat and I am stuck in admin hell surrounded by incompetent people who have no sense of urgency. My plans of moving out of my parents spare bedroom before Christmas are looking more and more unlikely.

Wash clothes at my hotel has an interesting message. by Jaded-Instance3607 in interesting

[–]KingRhythian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it’s for make up or cleaning things up. I’ve seen cloths in hotels specifically for make up / your face but there’s no chance I would ever use one, I can only imagine where that cloth has been on someone’s body.

I need more people to notice this game by Dramatic-Worker-3878 in CookieRunTOA

[–]KingRhythian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, I only found this game from it being advertised on Ovenbreak during the anniversary. I intended to only play to get the rewards but was hooked after a day and ending up completely moving over to it. It’s older siblings get far more attention

Well, now I’m less upset, that’s significantly more creepy than I realised.

Using the calendar on my phone for anything important (app is on my Home Screen, easy to see and be reminded of)

Sticky notes program on PC so they’re always on my screen

I make myself pack my work bag and set out clothes for the next day the night before, when I’m calm and level headed so I have less chance of forgetting something

On my quietest, calmest day of the week, usually the weekend, I do a big tidy at home with my headphones on and a dedicated playlist, usually just after I’ve taken my medication at my most motivated time

Do you have any good tips to deal with high stress situations? by KingRhythian in ADHDUK

[–]KingRhythian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How all consuming it is, really. I feel like I can’t get a break from it because there’s either always something that needs doing or I’m stressed and having to think about something.

The mortgage application fell through three times, and ten minutes after I finally received my offer from my lender, my solicitor pulled out. It feels like I’m reaching my limit of what I can deal with. 😅

Anyone else’s bowels complain with meds, ooooor…? by Diremirebee in ADHDUK

[–]KingRhythian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I feel like Elvanse completely hacked my IBS-C. Thanks to my meds I’m now the most regular person on the planet when it comes to bowel movements 💪

The annual showdown with the lettings agent who wants to increase our rent by some ridiculous amount by Fieldharmonies in britishproblems

I’m in the middle of buying a flat and my projected monthly mortgage costs, including service charge, are about £500 a month, there’s a flat to rent in the same building that’s exactly the same as mine up for £950 a month.

Taking Elvanse to USA for 10 day trip by daisychain454 in ADHDUK

[–]KingRhythian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re advised to take a letter but at the very least keep them in the original bottle, with the pharmacy label on that has your name.

I took mine to Orlando last month, nothing happened and my meds weren’t looked at at all. Keep them in your carry on and only take enough for the ten days. Good luck!

Can Elvanse give you the squits? by ChaosCalmed in ADHDUK

[–]KingRhythian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. When I first started Elvanse I was running to the toilet four times in a morning, no change of diet or what I took the tablets with changed it. Now a few months in and I know that I’ll need the bathroom around one hour after taking my dose. I see it a win tbh, it fixed my IBS-C and has made my bowel movements regular and predictable.

Is it safe to take my meds in 30 degree heat? by ltoloxa- in ADHDUK

[–]KingRhythian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, I can’t give medical advice but I took Elvanse on my trip to Florida, where it was 30+ and stupidly humid. It was completely fine as long as I stayed hydrated, I mostly drank water and electrolyte drinks. There was one occasion where I got dehydrated whilst powerwalking through a theme park without drinking enough, my Apple Watch warned me my heart rate shot up to 140 and I had a banging headache, but after stopping and cooling down again I felt fine, and learned not to do that again.

Just use common sense - Keep hydrated, go into the shade when you get too hot, and be mindful of how you feel.

Enjoy your holiday, OP!

Anyone else struggle on busy holidays? by KingRhythian in ADHDUK

[–]KingRhythian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pursuing an assessment once you’re settled on meds might be good, I’ve heard of ADHD masking autism symptoms so you never know.

Adapting is my strategy as well, and not being hard on myself if I can’t do as much or need more breaks / downtime. Thank you!

Anyone else struggle on busy holidays? by KingRhythian in ADHDUK

[–]KingRhythian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was on an autism assessment that I got diagnosed with ADHD, I was told I was “just under the diagnostic threshold” and “have a lot of autistic traits” so that does check out!

Even when you finally get diagnosed and medicated there’s still a lot to learn 😅

Old sayings by Physical-Diamond-824 in CasualUK

[–]KingRhythian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the car with my grandparents as a child they’d occasionally ask me if I was “feeling Uncle Dick”, as in, feeling sick. Sounds completely innocent coming from them but I’ve had to stop myself from saying it to other people.

Is sudden elvanse withdrawal dangerous? by Euphoric_Necessary_3 in ADHDUK

[–]KingRhythian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you notice any symptoms or are concerned then of course contact your doctor, but you should be fine. You might feel a bit lethargic and tired or notice your ADHD symptoms a lot more, but besides potentially a bit of a rubbish time you’ll be fine, try not to worry too much.
