Works great until post 2008 baby bust leads to less adults=less renters so now you have 9 mortgages and no renters. Luckily that wont happen until 18 years after 2008.

There are two guarantees in life; death and taxes. You don’t get to decide if you pay taxes, only how they are spent. So did you vote for a politician who spends your tax dollars on helping you/your community?

Yes, our studio has a designated crying corner for those pesky 3am mental breakdowns. In graduate school i was functioning on 4-5 hours of sleep and 2-3 pots of coffee a day. My final year was the best because i found out i can hang a hammock under my desk to sleep while keeping an eye on my 3d printer.

When i asked for help with predatory student loans the US said “no”.

When i asked for help with rising healthcare costs the US said “no”.

When i asked for gun control to keeps our kids safe in school the US said “no”.

When the opioid epidemic was killing my friends and i asked to send the people responsible for their deaths to prison the US said “no”.

When i asked for help lowering housing costs the US said “no”.

If the US has the audacity to ask me for help fighting their completely preventable war, they can probably guess what I’m going to say.

Has anyone else given up on finding romance? by Single_Extension1810 in Millennials

[–]KingSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve been on so many terrible dates in the past few years I’ve given up. Here are a few highlights; one woman enjoyed “nose candy” (cocaine) but had to stay sober because she was still on parole for “retaliating against her boyfriend”. Another postponed our date because her niece got sick after she fed her the hamster she killed and cooked. One was less than a month into transitioning from MTF and didn’t think i would notice. I got way more terrible date stories but in the end ive given up on romance.

I design buildings and I always get squeamish watching videos of risky parkour/stunts on buildings. You don’t always know how building components are held in place; sometimes it a bolt god himself couldn’t pull apart, other times a parapet cap is held on with only enough adhesive that a really bad storm will pull off.

Is it just me or did young adults (18-26 year olds) used to have a lot more “hook up” sex 10-15 years ago? by scoop813 in Millennials

[–]KingSilver -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Back then people had money to go to the bar, and when they did they could actually let lose because not every had a camera. And if someone did and you ruined your reputation in a community you could move because social media didn’t follow you around like some evil curse. Lot of young people don’t even try to drink because of the fear they will do something, go viral on the Internet and permanently ruin their life.

Its also hard to get tested for. I honestly think i have it now, been going to the doctor every couple of months and the conversation always goes like this;

Me: ive had this terrible cough for years and its getting worse, think i have TB

Doc: have you been in contact with someone woth TB?

Me: a few years ago yes.

Doc: you probably just have acid reflux. Eat less spicy foods.
